Always used the metal handled brushes in the past and these are superior to the old type, no brush material working loose as the brush is "worked'

Purchased these brushes when working on a cake project. I used them to apply confectioners glaze to leaves. As they were very inexpensive I could dispose of them after use. The glaze makes the bristles go very hard and they then are very difficult to clean.This tip was given on a cake web site. I am not normally a throw away person.
