As my Cast iron radiator stands on legs, I only have 100mm/4" from the floor to the nut on the bottom of the valve. will this fit. What is the depth.
What volume of water does it hold?
Just to clarify one answer that was sent 12mm pipe is widely used in plastic piping in UK
As there are only 3 holes how can this thing seal around a 10mm pipe and a 12mm pipe ? as the other 2 must be for 15mm and 22mm

Best piece of kit for draining radiators I've ever had!

A great, easy to use piece of kit! I've tried a few different little gadgets over the years but this is the best one by far!Two suggestions - first the bowl only holds about 1.4 litres so have a small cup or similar and a larger vessel to bail it into. I found this much less fiddly than trying to empty the bowl and refit. You'll probably be surprised just how much water even a small slimline radiator contains!Secondly, before you start pop down to your local hardware shop, Screwfix, whatever and buy a couple of 'blank nuts' to cap off the radiator valves once you have removed the radiator. On a couple of occasions I've found one of the valves doesn't completely close (no matter how hard you turn the valve) so putting one of these on contains any pesky drips or trickles. They are cheap and available in a number of sizes to fit your own radiator valves. I've found that even if the valves close off perfectly, it's good peace of mind to have them physically capped as well.

Convenient way to drain a radiator

Found this to be a convenient way of draining a radiator with little leakage.Need to be prepared to bail the water out as it doesn’t have a very large capacity. Will use again!

Great Product !

The golden rule, especially when it comes to plumbing is make sure you have everything you need, then add/buy more things !My dad always used to say "You can never have too many tools, even if you just use them once".I made a BIG mistake when I had to change old 45 year old TRV's with more modern ones, but it wasn't as simple as I had thought, as not only did I have to remove the old TRV but also replace the fitting that goes into the radiator itself as well, which unbeknown to me, involved a 'special tool', then all was well until I came to the fourth radiator, and disaster struck, I ended up with the whole heating system draining out over the hallway carpet, not to mention me as well, several towels, and 6 kitchen towels later I was getting the hallway back to normal, but just SO, SO embarrassing. If I had bought the SPi Radiator Maintenance Kit (of which this is half) that disaster would have been avoided, as the two tapered QuickBung plus would have been pushed in to the pipes, stopping the water flow, although I did have two plugs but they were too thick and NOT tapered so just wouldn't fit.I have also done a LOT more research (watching a few videos for starters), and will take more precautions next time, but the Tapered Bungs and this Draining Tub will play a big part too, I have tried the tub on my microbore pipe, and because the tub is 'flexible' it fits nice and tight on the pipe (there are 3 sizes cut outs and I used the smallest) but I will also pull the carpet right back, put a waterproof sheet and some old towels down plus a kitchen bowl and a couple of buckets near by, finally make sure I have a hosepipe leading outside (wish I had thought of that before !) in case a similar thing happens again... it won't though as I now know how to 'seal the system' in the roof so that all the water just can't come out. Conclusion :I am a classic example of thinking I had taken all precautions, and I hadn't, but for me this kit (please buy the bungs as well, and it is cheaper if you buy them together !) is No. 1/Top on the list of things to buy.It is a great idea, but have a really good think as to what else you might want to buy as well.5 stars all day long for me though !I hope this review helps someone out there avoid a disaster like I had a couple of years ago.

Works fine.

Perfect for the job.

Plumb tub

Perfect for draining down domestic radiators. Flexi material allows a decent snug fit to minimise water spill but you’ll still need a couple of towels. Recommended item!

Great idea but..

OK so all my radiators need taking off and flushing so I got this to try and make draining a little easierHowever when there's water in them there very flimsy which makes trying to lift them to empty challenging. I ended up just using a washing up bowl
