M-Audio Keystation 49 MK3 - Synth Action 49 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller with Assignable Controls, Pitch and Mod Wheels, and Software Included

I have had nothing but good results with M-Audio controllers in the past and this one is the same. This unit doesn't have the 'real keyboard' appearance and stature like the Axioms, but it's well-built and plays/tracks VERY WELL. I'm getting clean midi takes and no double notes...!I wish it had a MIDI out instead of the USB only out, but for the price (and my budget) - I'm super happy with my decision.Especially, if you are trying to decide between this controller and a mini sized 25-key controller, then CERTAINLY buy this one!Every producer has their own work flow, but with mine, if this unit had 24 pads and a bunch of faders and knobs, most likely I would never touch them. Realistically, this is all the controller I will ever need, but I will probably get the Keystation 61 that DOES have the MIDI out.

For recording in this digital era this is ample and affordable. All you need to record your recording

1. I really do think if you're going to discontinue the software that comes with it then you need to replace the box that says the keyboard has it. Super tacky and misleading to say it has something it doesn't and is false advertising. I know you took it off your Amazon listing that it's included but it still says it on the box itself and I assume this stuff sits on some store shelves..yes?.2. The software included isn't really that user friendly to install. You should be able to install it and bam done. But here you have software that won't let you use it until you hunt down a separate software called ilok to install your license. I've been doing this a long time, NOBODY does this. It is not up to the customer to have to hunt down extra software to play their VST's.. if that's really what it takes then at least include the ilok or better yet find a better way. I have thousands of vsts and all of them just have you type in your serial number and that's it.

This is a great controller. If you want a synth, look elsewhere. But if you have great software like Logic Pro, you'll never run out of sounds this thing can control. The pitch wheel is flawless, and the modulation changes the sound in subtle ways (or large ways if you want).I don't use this to control my software. I sit at a computer and create when using this keyboard. I just use it for the keys and the pitch/mod wheels, and that's it. And that will keep me occupied for a long time to come.The keys aren't weighted like the upright grand I learned to play on - but it's fine. The key actions are just fine. If you want realism, spend a LOT more money and go for it. The thing is, if you want to adjust attack etc. in MIDI, you have all the flexibility you want in the LP software. I didn't download any of the software they included with this as I have no use for it. YMMV.Overall I think it was money well spent and am quite happy with the purchase.

Somehow, I didn’t send this. This week, the usb port fell inside the case, could you send me a diagram which screws to open the unit up without damaging the unit. If not, I will ruin it. I really like this, it still great, some glue or fastener failed. Thank you.m- audioJust an excellent product. It has the Fatar keyboard bed. No clickity-clack. I have had about a dozen plus strap-ons since the early eighties. This one is the first sit down I’ve had since then. I just wish, one time some manufacturer could make the stop, play, record buttons work and the bank, prest change work.I even read the manuals. I've had every major brand and none of them work. I would appreciate a new buyer would include a link that point out what I’m doing wrong. I use Apple OS. Probably that, huh?

Im just gonna say it how it is, this was one of the best investments and buying experience I could have made all year. ive been looking for a keyboard for a while and I have had a hard time trying to pick one. I finally decided to go with this one which I was nervous about to begin with for 2 reasons. For one, I didn't know if it was going to be to small and 2, it was advertised as used: Very Good. for one, this keyboard is literally the perfect size atleast for me. the keys have good travel and they feel good at the press. and when I got the keyboard in the mail, it definitely want just used: very good, as a matter in fact... it wasn't used at all! it was brand new, I got the keyboard, the cord and all the software it comes with for only $98 USD all wrapped inside of its Original packaging, and on top of that IT got here a day earlier than it was supposed to!!! I hardly ever wright a review, but this was definitely worthy of a good review. I could not be any happier with my purchase and I would suggest purchasing from this seller if you get the chance!

This MIDI Keyboard Controller has everything I need at a great price. It's plug-and-play and worked great on my old Windows 10 PC and on my new Windows 11 PC. About 5 1/2 months after I bought the keyboard, my new PC stopped recognizing it. I hooked it up to my old PC and same thing happened. M-Audio customer service walked me through some diagnostics, and after a few days it was clear there was a mechanical fault in the keyboard. M-Audio gave me a pre-paid FedEx label and I boxed it up and shipped it back. As soon as I gave M-Audio the FedEx tracking number, they immediately shipped off a brand-new keyboard to me. GREAT SERVICE.
