Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector, Battery Powered CO Alarm with LEDs, Test-Reset Button, Low Battery Indicator, Portable

My husband and I travel quite a bit and recently I have been hearing these stories about people who stayed in hotels in different countries and who died while sleeping from carbon monoxide poisoning. We were planning a trip to 2 countries with two other couples and after seeing these stories, I immediately decided to order these items for the 3 couples. These are very easy to use, appears to be good quality. Instructions are clean. Display is very easy to read. When tested, the alarm is quite loud and would surely wake you up from a deep sleep. We took the alarms on our trips and placed on the bedside tables. I like the fact that these are battery operated in steady of plug in. I will just change batteries before each trip. These now have a permanent place in my suitcase. Also note that it's not very heavy so does not take it a lot of space in suitcase.Note that i am giving it 5 stars, though obviously I can only tell if it performs exactly the way it should, if I am in an area with high carbon monoxide. I hope never to have that experience but if I do and all goes well, I will be back to update. If not.... well.

We have been very pleased with this Kidde model which is why we bought the newest edition when our very old one wore out. The mounting plates are the same so didn't have to deal with using the mollies and screws provided. 2 batteries were included. Came well-packaged in a cardboard box with a molded insert that fit the alarm perfectly. Full instructions included as well. Once batteries were installed, the green light blinks every 60 seconds to show it's operational and alarm tested. Good to go. Now we're going to get another one for the guest room area.

This is the industry standard for CO2 monitors. I had it set up and ready to go in seconds. It gave a quick beep to let me know it was on, then it went into work mode. It hasn't made a peep since, so that's refreshing.

I bought this for our trip to Disney world after hearing of a death in Florida related to carbon monoxide . This gave me peace of mind and confidence to sleep well and stay safe. Would recommend this to anyone and will always travel with this item from now on. Battery operated and very loud alarm. You can adjust the volume to your desire.

This is a useful item when you are on vacation or away from home. Gives you additional peace of mind in unknown areas.

I purchased this for my travels to foreign countries, where they never require or use a Monoxide Detector! It should be on your list when u travel
