It's a magnific motherboard, just missing wifi 7.

Product came in good timing, looks nice. When I put it all together I found that the computer would not boot with multiple ram sticks installed. After some research I found this was a common problem with this motherboard, as well as the B650 from the ASUS TUF line. After contacting ASUS directly, they refused to take accountability and instead blamed the ram sticks stating they are “not approved”, this is not the first computer I’ve built and I have never had this happen or even heard of “approved or unapproved ram” and even though I told the customer service agent I tried multiple different brands of ram, they still suggested I try even more brands of ram. I decided to return this product and swap it out for the NXZT N7 series, very disappointed in ASUS customer service.

This motherboard paired with a Thermaltake Core V21 along with a AMD Ryzen 9 7950X is the fastest computer I have ever laid hands on and I have been doing computers since a commodore 64!Compiling ffmpeg on my older i7-3.6ghz (granted it is a grandfather in age) went from 20 minutes to 20 seconds!70+ ghz should last me another 10 years. Hopefully.

The motherboard is very nice. The bios has to be upgraded to support Windows 11. You should consider flashing the bios prior to installing the OS. If you do not update the bios, you will receive an unsupported error from the Windows 11 setup. This board is not WiFi enabled. The power and reset pins are at the lower edge of the board and are a little difficult to connect. This is the same with most boards. Overall the motherboard overclocking options are detailed. You are able to configure cpu settings, memory settings and etc. This is pretty standard for new Asus boards. Overall a good board for the price. The B650 may not have PCIe 5.0 support. The B650E does. The X670 will have PCIe 5.0 support and 3 M.2 drive support. However, the B650 is a lot cheaper. If you are looking for PCIe 5.0, you can use a B650 board, just make sure it has it. Also, the 650 boards do not support as many M.2 drives and USB as the 670. 650 boards are AM5 compatible. So, make sure you buy an AM5 cpu. AM4 boards are a lot cheaper and the best bang for the buck. In addition AM4 cpus are about half the price.

I first having truouble getting it to post so flash the BIOS newest update. Got it posted finally but couldn't install Win 11 due to continuous crashes during intallations b/c the memory issue. So I returned to BIOS setting lowered the memory frequency of my Corsair DDR5 5600 to 4600 MHz (Auto frequency by default could only go up to 4800 MHz). Win 11 was successfully installed. Returned to BIOS again, changed to DOCP 1 setting which DRAM's VDD and VDDQ voltage now is 1.25V. The frequency is at 5600 MHz stable with idle CPU temperature around 41-45 C.I like the 8 SATA and VGA port in this mATX board and couldn't find other brand with similar layout.

I've purchased this motherboards with 2X 32 gigs of DDR 5 memory sticks. Turns out that the memory sticks were high density ones and was not supported by the motherboard out of the box. I couldn't even boot the pc to get to the UEFI. This motherboard has a USB port that's dedicated for BIOS flashing. It can actually flash the motherboard BIOS without turning the PC on. I just downloaded the updated bios to a usb stick and used the flash port to get the updated firmware onto the motherboard. After I pressed the button I had to wait until the LED turned off and it was done it worked, posted and booted. I don't know if this is an industry standard or if it is for how long has it been a standard because I had been using a laptop for 8 years but I'm very happy to have this function.
