It takes a while to get used to how to read the angles, but once you have it figured out, it's a great guage for the price!

I purchased this to help me estimate angles for my drawings, so far it has worked just fine. It is good for estimating angles but I can't vouch for how accurate it is if you needed exact measurements. It's made sort of flimsy so I would think that it might not be too accurate for really precise measuring.

I had an older, damaged #29 protractor. Some numbers were a bit worn, and the little brass locking knob was lost.This new #29 replaced it. Buying another just like it is a strong vote.It is a small tool. That's part of what makes it work. Some angles that need measuring are in tight places where a larger tool won't fit. The small size makes it easy to carry while the bright yellow makes it easy to find. The ability to measure both outside and inside angles is very handy.Consider keeping the card that comes with it. There are some unexpected ways to solve the occasional weird angle measuring challenge.The challenge with a small measuring tool is the tiny scale. It's hard (for me) to read. That said, it's worth the time to find my glasses. So many of those "ninety degree angles" need a reality check. Maybe 88 degrees looks okay but things like moulding look wrong when they don't actually match with reality.Overall I love this little tool for what it can do.

Not a bad product but if I had to do again I would invest in a higher quality one. Worked ok but a little flimsy. And doesn’t hold position the greatest. Ok for novice use

Work great for getting the job done

I have use this for a couple projects now and it has been a life saver. Most recently used to put pegboard in the shed. I wanted it to go from wall to wall instead of just sticking a rectangle up there like what was already in there. This tool made it easy to get the angle of the corners so I only had to cut one time.

the scale is not centered. So when you look on the right side, everything functions OK. but if you are looking on the left side, the piece with the index mark on it completely obscures the markings on the scale. So the scale is useless in that area. Absurd! Otherwise, I appreciate that even though it is plastic, the joints have enough friction to hold a position. There are metal versions of this tool, even if made better, make sure it doesn't have the same problem. I got this, because most similar items have such a large, rounded fulcrum area that they are only useful for really large items. This is the only type that can be used on smaller applications.

This helped us out a lot while we were putting down new baseboards. At one point, one of the screws fell out if it, but I was able to put it back together. My biggest complaint about this, though, is that when trying to find certain angles, the numbers would be covered up by part of the angle finder itself. I'd get a digital one next time, but this one worked out OK. You just had to guess at some of the angles.
