Game changer if your trying to scan any shiny surface.. I was struggling to get a decent scan of a glossy carbon weave product. Used this spray and gaining accurate scan was very easy!Highly recommend if your scanning any glossy or reflective product

Supplied in a large 500 ml can, this Revopoint 3D scanning spray is incredibly easy to use, simple to clean off, but it is on the pricey side.In use, and I mean no disrespect to the manufacturer, this reminds me of a can of soot, albeit soot that is easily controllable and with a more even coating and texture.I decided to coat half of a clear glass. After shaking the can, it only took a few sprays to completely cover the sprayed area. Initially, the finish looked wet and dark, but it rapidly dried to a light grey. The spray has texture, but this may have been due to overspray on my part.To remove it, you can either wipe it away, but this tends to just move the coating around, or rinse it under a tap. When rinsed under a tap, 90% of the product immediately washed away; the last greasy 10% was easy to completely wash off with detergent.I haven’t used this type of product before, but I was impressed with how easy it was to use and to clean afterwards. I was, however, less impressed with the price.

A lot of money for a spray can, but it goes a long way and works.

So, I had ordered the 'bluescanningspray' which is meant to be the temporary spray that evaporates after a few hours. However I received the AB-P version which is a semi-permanent scanning spray which does not evaporate and needs to be washed or wiped off. However the results are surprisingly good and show a huge improvement over those without the spray. Its a shame however that I now need to complete a session of clean up after the scanning. Also being semi-permanent and not self evaporating there will be a number of items I will not attempt to use it on due to fear of damage due to the clean up needed after.

Product built well, comes with lots of good accessories including a case and turntable. Laser mode works okay but the software representation that shows you areas that you have scanned is awful. You can barely see where you need to cover. Tracking of dots is average. Angle supported isn’t too wide.Then the feature tracking, horrible. Tested on lots of feature rich items large and small. Lost tracking which then cause poor alignment of data. Bought a creality raptor and it’s night and day, even without the cross line laser.Don’t bother with this, at least until the software algorithms catch up.Also most of these reviews are for scanning spray. Not the Metro X they are clearly trying to pump up the reviews on Amazon. Those reviews that are for the scanner are from people who got the scanner for free. So take everything you see with a pinch of salt.

3D scanning spray is a must for anyone that owns a 3D scanner. This spray is stored in a 400ml can, so it should last a long time for general and light use. It includes a spare directional nozzle attached to the cap that gives more of a controlled spray that also helps in hard-to-reach areas.I have multiple issues when trying to scan reflective items, especially metallic and transparent ones. This spray is easy to use and it has excellent coverage. The spray is consistent and accurate, best applied in very thin layers at a time. The can is pressurised, so it does spray quickly.No cleaning is necessary! The spray evaporates within four hours, so you don't need to worry about cleaning your object afterward. It does not contain any pigments and is non-toxic, so it's safe to use on delicate equipment or in sensitive areas like labs.Overall, easy to use, shake well before each use, consistent application, scanner works well to recognise the surface, does not reflect much light at all once sprayed evenly, may take some time to perfect your spraying technique as you do not want the paint running or adding too much thickness to your scans. Worked well enough when scanning, but the sublimation process is not as good as the AEsub spray.With the AEsub, it completely disappears overnight, but the Revo spray left a residue in places where the spray was thicker, which I had to wipe off.Even though this is cheaper, I will be buying AEsub every time as there is no cleanup at all
