Lightweight, incredible at picking up dust and dirt, easy to assemble and very easy mechanisim to empty. The handle is long enough in length to allow the sweeper to glide over the carpet. Difficult to use in corners but effective otherwise. I used it on carpet, indoor mat and also on outdoor matting. Very good purchase

Very old school. Only downside is the handle is far too small. Reminds me of my housemaid set as a little girl. Picks up well but please make the handle longer!

This is a great carpet sweeper, I keep this up stairs, so I don't have to keep carrying a heaver hoover up the stairs, it also lifts dirt up, great

Lightweight, easy to use, it is ideal for kitchen breakfast crumbs, grass from shoes soles and spillages etc. i keep it within grabbing distance and it is used almost every day. Highly recommend

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE FLOOR/CARPET SWEEPER.STRANGE THAT IT DIDN'T COME WITH ANY INSTRUCTIONS.IT'S MADE FROM POOR QUALITY FLIMSY MATERIALS.IT'S A TOTAL WASTE OF £20 FOR THIS FLOOR/CARPET SWEEPER.THE HANDLE IS FAR TOO THIN & THE SCREW ON PARTS INSIDE EACH PART OF TUBE HANDLE ARE NOT DEEP ENOUGH FOR IT TO GRIP SECURELY TO THE NEXT PART OF HANDLE.IT SNAPPED WITH ONLY LIGHT PRESSURE ON IT DURING THE 1ST & ONLY TIME IT WAS USED.I BOUGHT IT FOR USING ON MY VINYL FLOORS AS IT SAYS IT WORKS ON THEM. SADLY IT DIDN'T PICK UP THE BITS FROM MY VINYL KITCHEN FLOOR.NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.BUY AT YOUR PERIL.

My mum had one of these, a Ewbank, when I was growing up and she kindly provided me with a bright orange one when I bought my first flat in Glasgow. Roll on half a century and I I decided to invest in another. I like the ethos of the Dustpan and Brush Company, trying to bring back traditional products that have (in my case, literally) been lost over the years. The handle of my old orange one was forever falling apart; this modern version has a handle that screws together, so there is no danger of that. I tried it out on a variety of flooring from carpet to vinyl with hessian in-between and was very impresssed with the results. The vacuum cleaner (I strill refer to it as the 'Hoover') will stay in the cupboard much more than before!

It’s ok. I had one from a different brand before but I gave it away. I couldn’t buy the same one and this one is a lot lighter. This is not a good thing because you have to press it down slightly for it to actually pick things up. That being said, it picked up the cat hair and our hair from the carpet and any crumbs. Did not work on the hard floor at all though. It feels a bit flimsy but it’s is fairly easy to use even though you have to press down a bit. Easy to clean and it is a decent size. The handle is a bit thin though.
