Great cheap alternative to the superior rip offs
This was an excellent piece of kit, much cheaper than the competitors. Easy to setup, no lag and as long as your in 1080p the picture quality and audio quality is fine! Perfectly functional and good for streaming.

Simple but very effective.
Useful bit of kit which works very well with good video definition and sound. Along with the right software (free) my old VCR is now munching through decades of video tapes recording onto my digital NAS storage drives. Using a spare monitor with dual HDMI sockets I can just switch between inputs VCR/PC so permanently wired up for when I have a few spare hours to use it!

Broke after one use
Not worth it at all, sound was a issue and it only worked for one day. Didn't change anything but the next day wouldn't work and hasn't since. Wast of money

Fine, but the suggested software limits capture to "HD Ready"
With the suggested OBS Studio software, it appears that you need a display /bigger/ than 1920x1020 to capture full HD, otherwise it's 1280 x 720 pixels. Doesn't capture sound from a Sky+HD box, perhaps copy protection inhibits this? I used a separate 2-channel stereo capture box.

Great piece of kit
Plugged it into the Raspberry Pi4, connected HDMI in & out, and it just worked! My only complaint is that it doesn’t pass thru CEC, but I can put up with that…
