I add it to some hot water and make sure it is desolved first ...The water makes it easier to add smaller amounts to your mix..

Ok first off yes it works as advertised. But I have a 100 gallon system with well water that would needs like 400g to bring it down from a 7 to 5.5. If it came in more choices than 1 lbs and, I forget, 50 lbs I would for sure continue to use it. I hate paying to ship water. But it seems better for ro water, which I use but not in this system, or a small system like 20 gallons.
