Paired quickly and works great
My topens front gate controller has been working as expected for several months, but it's sometimes a pain to hunt down the little 4 button remote control to open/close the gate. I found this Topens WiFi controller and decided to give it a try.The most important thing to know about the main Topens gate control box, with respect to this WiFi controller, is that it already contains a WiFi radio, thus allowing the WiFi controller to be located inside your house where it can receive a strong WiFi signal from your wireless access point, vs. having to put it at the gate and hope your WiFi signal reaches that far. As long as the WiFi controller is within a few hundred feet of the gate control box, they can talk to each other and viola!I mounted the WiFi controller in my garage, right next to a window that faces the main gate control box, and plugged it into a nearby outlet with the included adapter. To program the WiFi controller to talk to the gate control box:1. Download the app to your phone2. Follow the directions to connect the WiFi controller to your WiFi access point (ID & PW)3. Take the front cover off of the main gate control box4. Push the button that allows you to pair the gate control box with remote controls, the WiFi controller, etc. This results in a fast flashing of a red LED5. Push the A, B, C or D button on the app on your phone, depending on which button you want to control the gate6. Wait a few seconds and push it again. The red flashing light should go out, and the phone is now able to open/close/stop the gate by pushing the button you just programmed (A, B, C or D)The instructions refer to maybe having to remve the cover of the WiFi controller to reset it before pairing, but mine paired right away so no need for that. Only need to enable the pairing action from the button on the main gate control box. This now works just like my WiFi enabled garage door openers, light switches, etc. In my case, it's much more likely that I will have my phone with me when wanting to open/close the gate, than the little 4 button remote. And of course, you can operate the gate from anywhre that your phone is conntected to a wireless network.Slick.Hope it works for a long time.

My Most Used Accessory
I have this connected to my Topens CK700 motor. This is probably my most used solution to open/close the gate since I can do it while driving, or at the end of the day while I'm inside. It's placed 100 feet from my gate motor. I read other people's comments prior to installing it and didn't have much issue. Adding family members to the app so they can access gate operations is not difficult once you figure out how to navigate the screens. Connectivity is acceptable. I've tried to determine what will interrupt the connectivity at times without much luck. I have a Blink camera mounted by the gate so I can visually confirm the Wifi worked. Generally I'm well pleased with this and would recommend it.

Incompatible with other brands, so had to throw it away when our gate opener stopped working
Since our Topens swing gate opener didn't work due to a manufacturing flaw, we had to go for a different brand and had to throw this accessory away. Such a waste, really. Why can't manufacturers make these things compatible with each-other?

Excellent Product with Exceptional Customer Service
I ordered the TC196 remote to use with my CK1200 gate opener, and I’m extremely pleased with both the quality and functionality. What impressed me even more was Topens’ outstanding customer support — Shelley, in particular, has been incredibly patient and helpful whenever I had questions. Highly recommended!

Amazing devices
I received this transmitter ( TC196) today along with the receiver ( ERM12). It was a flawless connect to my GateCrafter ES 1000H control board. I was amazed at how simple and easy it was to connect. Instructions were very clear. One point of interest though is , if your internet router band width is 5GHZ you must go into your router app and change it to 2.5 GHZ for the setup and it will return to 5GHZ after about 30 minutes. that is because these devices only work on 2.5GHZ. My service is with Spectrum and it was easy to change that in their provided APP on my phone. I love these devices. Hope this helps someone.

Unable to use
Received the wifi remote control package for Topens electric gate opener; however, unable to use and delay in trying to get it work work, I missed the return window. Our router is at 750 feet away from gate opener which is the outside range of being able to use it. We even purchased a wifi extender booster to carry the wifi to the gate, but it still wouldn't work. The installer tried twice over a period of two weeks and he is a pro with these. The problem finally came down to my cell phone -- it's a Samsung Galaxy and the installer's cell phone has 2 bars at the gate, but mine didn't have any, so we think it's because my cell phone isn't a higher quality. Gave the product 3 stars because of strange instructions that came with it, and had to use a couple of YouTube videos to get everything hooked up, only to find my cell phone wasn't capable. Be aware of the distance from router to gate and don't just have a medium priced/quality cell phone.
