Best Mousetrap, Period!
These are the best mousetraps I've found. I've tried the traditional wooden Victor trap, the modern plastic Victor trap and the sticky-glue type traps. The modern plastic one definitely works better than the old wooden one, because the mouse has to "nose open" the little compartment where you put the bait--so there is more movement and a higher percentage of successful catches. (Too often the mice can steal the bait from the wooden ones without getting caught).I've found the sticky ones to be only very occasionally effective--and (if you care) they are cruel-er vs. the sudden death in the snap-traps, as the little guys struggle and struggle to get free, and slowly die of hunger & thirst.HOWEVER, I've had the highest success rate with the Mouse Motels! The mice have to go all the way in the tunnel to get to the bait and the lightly-triggered trap door snaps behind them. Bingo! I've caught more mice with the mouse motels than any kind of tap. Occasionally, when for some reason (e.g. out of town) I've not checked the traps for awhile, I'll find a dead mouse in there and know they basically starved/thirsted to death. So check motels daily if you want to find them alive so you can relocate them. I take them about a mile from our house and release them in the forest. It's kind of a pain because it takes time, but I'm not out to kill them--just to keep them out of our house, barn, RV, etc. where they do damage. Since our dog, and 2 cats died, the rodent population has boomed (mice, chipmunks, squirrels), alas. But nice to see the lizards coming back!Bottom-line: these simple, clever, (and SAFE, for your fingers, kids, and other pets), traps do a GREAT job.

Quickest, most effective mouse trap I've used
I had a mouse infestation (I found out!) in my spare room closet where I stored emergency dried foods. I kept the door to the room and closet closed, so I was not aware of the problem until I was overrun. I used the clear traps so i could see the mice better, and used a peanut dipped in Jif peanut butter for the bait. I was trapping them within a couple of hours of laying them down. Released them in a wooded area with a ditch filled with water a couple of miles from my home and away from other houses. I caught 4 adults first, and the rest were juveniles--19 in all!! (I'm embarrassed by the number!) I made sure they were all trapped out before cleaning and disinfecting the area; didn't want to scatter them throughout my house. They stayed away form conventional traps, and I didn't want to poison them (I have indoor pets and hate to see any animal poisoned. Sticky tape was out--too traumatic!) These traps got rid of my mouse problem within a couple of days. The only issue was two of the four traps didn't catch to set it--guess it was misaligned, so I had two working traps. It was still worth the money because i know that I got them, and now they are replenishing the food supply for the coyotes, hawks, and snakes we have an abundance of in the country. The little squatter is pictured below:

it works and it's humane
Why did you pick this product vs others?:easy to use and effective. my cat retired, she's lazy. but so far we caught 4 mice in the last 3 days. went with this solution for humane purposes and very happy w/ the effectiveness of the design and end results. was originally concerned if you could reuse, as i was worried any caught mouse would leave pheromones or some 'scent' of fear to dissuade other mice from going in the trap, but so far 4 diff mice, 3 diff days in the same trap.Update - it’s been a week and I didn’t even realize I had a mouse issue but we’ve caught 11 mice so far now (staring at my useless cat now)

Perfect alternative to kill or glue traps!!
These were a great alternative to all of the kill traps. It was a great teaching tool for my kids in learning that you don't need to kill innocent animals. The instillation was super easy, there weren't any strong smells. Within 24 hrs of setting up the traps we caught 4 mice (even caught 2 in one trap!) IThe noise level was so quiet that we didn't even hear it go off when it was 5 ft away. My only complaint is not being able to really clean it out all the way in-between catches, but that's really minor. I plan on purchasing more just to have on hand incase we notice any mice activity in our new house! Great value!!
