In several years of experience, so far these are the best. I find:1. the stems are a reasonable length, circa 8.5cm. Total length including the sponge head is circa 11cm.2. the stems have a good flexibility, not too stiff and not too flexible. But they are strong and don't kink easily.3. The sponge heads are very fine foam with good resilience, not too soft, but comfortable to use.4. Manufacturing errors appear quite small, and the stem is glued circa 3/4 of the way into the sponge head. There is a warning given to test the heads before use, with a gentle examination. (if a head comes off during use it could cause serious difficulties). I'm working my way through 500 samples no problems so far.5. There is no hole right through the head in which the stem is glued, so there's very little chance of pushing the stem into the soft mouth tissue, so they don't scratch the mouth interior.

I buy a lot of these tried many different brands and I must say these ones seem to last a bit longer so will be buying this one again others have only ever lasted a minute and I have written bad reviews for them that's why this one deserves a good review they can be very dangerous if your leaving the sick person to use them on their own
