Yes it is Aluminum
I am modifying some foot rests for a motorcycle and I needed some plate to make adapters.I am glad I got the aluminum plate vs Steel plate, since I don't have my jug saw any more and I had to use a hacksaw. The description said 6061 but did not give a heat treating indication. It sawed well and did not bind the saw blade like soft non heat treated plate.

Too Short!
Like the other reviewer wrote, the pieces were shorter than they should be. Generally acceptable to be up to an eighth of an inch short but in this case both pieces were a full quarter inch short. I'm going to use these but I wouldn't buy from this seller again.
