Saves you from a load of complex pipe geometry
I used this to mate my waste trap with the fixed water pipe coming through the wall. It allowed me maximum flexibility in positioning the waste trap and I didn’t have to make up a complex extension joint with two elbows in. Saved me time and effort AND didn’t cost any more than the alternative.
