Fitted easily, easy to setup, fast fill and quiet. No leaks on the brass 1/2 inch version.
Fitted quickly, tightened the nut to hand tight, making sure the rubber v shaped washer was on the inside. making sure that no side of the tank touches the blue part and then tighten with a spanner a 1/2 turn did it for me. No leaks, fast filling and quiet. Good price and seems to be sturdy. Will see how long it lasts but so far happy with this. I used a new 1/2 inch flexible WRAS approved pipe and it was easy to tighten that up to the brass inlet without it turning. Recommended.

Value for money
This is a good piece of kit. However the brass bit was about 3mm too short to connect to the fill pipe. To overcome this I dispensed with the shaped rubber washer that should have been inside the cistern and used a flat washer. I also removed the plastic bit which restricts the input flow despite having a pumped system. It works well but what should have been a 30 minte job took me 2 hours.

Excellent product . Worth more than its price.
This item has a sturdy build. Height is changeable. Strong brass connecter allows for firm attachment without bending or stripping like a plastic connector.. Brass nut is a good size and not too wide which means you can use a box spanner to tighten it. The water flow is very quiet. Installation was quick and successful first time. I don’t know why it was so much cheaper than the other products? It does appear to be a very sturdy build. I would buy it again.

Very quiet & efficient.
Simple to install and adjust, this is so much neater than a conventional valve with a long ball float arm. It works very quietly and fills very fast with no splashing. The best toilet cistern valve I've ever fitted.

Works well
I bought this particular style of valve to replace an old style ball arm type as part of a complete refurbishment of the bodge up from hell (see photo) . The new valve now sits in splendid isolation on the left hand side of the cistern with the water inlet changed to suit and the previous right side entry hole blanked off.Initially I looked at other valves costing twice as much and thought that perhaps this one wouldn’t be so good but went ahead and bought it anyway. Surprisingly it is pretty well made and is supplied with a decent idiot proof cone shaped rubber sealing washer. Not sure if the stem is actually brass or brass finish . Hopefully it is plated copper and not DinkyToy alloy . The instructions are pretty basic and do not explain fully how to adjust the height of the stem . This is done by twisting and unlocking , sliding to size and then twisting back to lock and is probably best done before fitting. Only grip the shaft when twisting as the working parts are less robust and will probably break off. The packaging says it’s designed in the UK and made in China (what isn’t) . Anyway if it’s as good as my I-Pad I won’t worry. The inlet is fitted with a removable filter with regular cleaning advised so I suspect this and others of the type are susceptible to dirt or debris so perhaps worth paying attention to . The metal connection , unlike plastic should stand up to routine maintenance .Suitable for low and high pressure without the need for restriction inserts and on my 3 bar mains fills in seconds and is particularly quiet, unlike its predecessor mimicking a hose pipe filling a bucket and dripping encore.Instructions do not include any reference to dismantling the top end for washer replacement etc , but considering you might have to pay £3-4 for the washer alone what would be the point, better to get another valve .
