Strong magnets, but occasional reversed polarity.
The magnets that I received are not all the same polarity. In other words most of the magnets have their south pole on the counter-sunk side and the north pole is on their flat side, but there were a few that had opposite polarity. Why does that matter? I'm glad you asked. Well for most common uses such as for hanging tools along the edge of a table or shelf, It does not matter what the magnetic polarity is. But I was using these magnets strung in a row for re-magnetizing flexible refrigerator magnets. The magnetic field must alternate north-north-south-south-north-north (etc.). They were still useful to me, I just had to make certain that I checked the polarity of each magnet before assembling the string of them in a row. They worked well for my application.

Very strong magnets make for a great shot-ski!
Let me start this review by saying that I bought these for a very unconventional purpose and they worked great! I've been trying to make a shot-ski for years, but every time I try I run into problems. Most glues deteriorate and look tacky, besides the fact that you can never remove the glasses from the ski to clean them. So, gluing shot glasses to a ski is less than ideal. Some bars use rubber gaskets to fasten the shot glasses to the ski, but I had trouble figuring out an easy way to fasten the gaskets to the skis firmly enough to hold the shot glasses. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money figuring out a good looking way to do it. Yet another method some people use is to drill big holes in the ski so the shot glasses can sit directly through the ski. I don't like this method because I've seen glasses fall out and break, plus have you tried drilling through a ski? They have metal inside of them and to make a hole big enough for a shot glass would require tools that I do not have!SO, being the innovative "young" partier that I am, I purchased these magnets along with some stainless steel 2 oz condiment cups! Most metal shot glasses have too much nickel in them and will not stick to magnets, so you need to be careful about the cups you buy. Make sure they are magnetic! It has worked great so far! The magnets are super strong and hold the glasses down very firmly. You can turn the whole ski upside down and shake it around and the glasses don't even budge. You can also easily remove the glasses to clean them. PLUS, it looks super clean and professional! Why has nobody thought of this sooner?

Strong magnets
Used them to hold the console lid on my wife’s car closed since the latch broke. Worked great, holds it closed just like it was latched. Strong magnet for the small size it was.

Great. Very Strong. Be Careful. I Love Them.
If you've never purchased Neodymium magnets, you're in for a nice surprise if you're looking for a very, very strong magnet. Read the cautionary notes that accompany your purchase.Great product. Best magnet I've EVER purchased. BUT BE CAREFUL. I wear gloves when handling them. If you have two separate magnets in one hand, and one slips because it's attracted to the other, that thing is going to go FLYING and they'll SLAM together really, really hard. And if you have a speck of skin between them, you're going to regret it. It JUST happened to me again. And when those magnets slam together, IT IS VERY PAINFUL! If it does happen, you have to remember that when it snags a piece of your skin it DOES NOT LET GO. It pinches VERY HARD and holds your skin between the magnets. And you cannot separate them because one of your hands is tied up with the magnets. The ONLY way is to pull your finger out from the magnets, and let me tell you... THAT HURTS! And it leaves a mark. And the pain stays with you for a bit. I will buy more of the magnets because they're so strong. You put a couple together, and they're even stronger. It really is amazing how strong they are. I try to remember to wear gloves, because if they do slam together and catch a little piece of your skin, it's a GIANT REMINDER that you should have worn gloves.

Good magnets.
I would say these are medium strong and they work well with other magnets making different shapes.
