Q: What motor voltages does this board support?

I’m using it with 12v. Controlling n scale model trains and track switches.

Q: Can you connect a 3.5A motor to it?

Nominal 3.5 amps? No. Might survive a spike that high, but it’s not rated for that high a draw.

Q: Can I power 4 12 volt dc motors drawing 1.5a each with a 12 volt battery that can provide 2-3a?

Doesn’t sound like it. You only have 3a to work with and you need 6a. Im not an electronics person at all so I’m just guessing.

Q: Does this come with the pins soldered?

yes it does, its "drop-in" ready. Dont expect to run any motors that require more than 1.2 amps cont. cuz it will only handle a combined (all four channels) peak of a little over 3, I accidentally burnt my first one when i got stuck at full throttle running a mecanum wheeled car with 4 RS550's. its perfect for those little ones you find in VCR's, DVD players and printers. if your cutting it close or just want to be safe, implement current sensing/overload protection measures, and/or know your stall currents lol
