Great Printer, Not So Great Scanning
The GreatI was searching for an affordable laser printer to save me from the downward spiral of ink cartridges. if you've owned a HP DJ2700 you will know what I'm talking about. Having read a few reviews on the pros and cons of the Kyocera MA200w, I decided to purchase this product.Right from the get go, this is an excellent printer at an affordable bargain. From built quality to ergonomics. It is on the not-so-loud side when operating and the print quality is good for this price range. It came with a quick start guide, USB cable, power cable, and protective cardboard packaging. The weight of the product is about 14 pounds but with the packaging the weight goes up to about 20 pounds. The setup is straight forward once you follow the quick start guide..(caution to all of you with a plug and play mentality), be prepared to do a little work using kyocera.info. Please follow the instructions or you will be pulling out your hair trying to setup the wireless printing. Once its setup you will find it behaves like any other laser printer. The Not So GreatWith all the positives there is just a niggling problem- the scanner takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes to scan. As I know my way around computers I have tried multiple configurations using the client tool. My challenge is that changing original image, to photo, photo+text, or text does not change the scan speed. Changing resolution form 200x200 to 300x300 or 600x600 does not make an iota of a difference.Frustratingly, searching forums from reddit to spiceworks and even youtube, you will find the same issue but no real solution.*The solution for me was to use the WIA drivers to scan on Windows 10 using windows fax & scan. My scan times are down to 30 seconds.Scanning photos leaves me with some faint horizontal lines. i tried cleaning the platten and changing the resolution of the scans but the lines still persists. Is it a TWAIN problem, WIA problem or just a bad implementation of a protocol? I do not know.ConclusionIn the end this is an excellent printer and tools provided by the client tool is great. This printer package is fantastic for size and weight and the fact that a scanner is even included at this price point is wonderful. The user experience can be even greater if kyocera would address the sloooooowwww scanning when using the TWAIN, it would be rewarding. For now I still scan using HP Smart on my DJ2700 to avoid the horizontal lines or the WIA on the MA2000w for speed but not the TWAIN used in the client tool.I recommend this printer if you are transitioning from an ink based printer or print once per month or if you are looking for a budget friendly alternative in the sub $100 category and you don't mind waiting 2-5 minutes for a scan to complete.I hope this will be helpful to someone. Should there be a fix I will update this post.

Had high hopes but severely disappointed
I had high hopes for this printer, but it severely disappointed me. I bought this this to replace my old Canon inkjet aio printer since I need to print and scan stuff sometimes for work. This was my first time going the laser printer route after hearing good things about laser printers. The drivers for this printer are a joke and I am frequently having to re-install them just to be able to use the printer, scanner, copier functions and I'm using windows 11. Even when I re-install the drivers it can often still take a lot of turning the printer on and off or unplugging the usb chord to be able to get it to do anything. It does has wireless capabilities, but getting that to consistently work is even worst than trying to use it via usb. I've never had these kind of issues with previous aio printers so this has been frustrating and I'm a 20+ year IT worker so I deal with technology on a daily basis. When printing does work it does print fast and the quality of the prints are good, but that's once I have to jump through all of the hoops to get it to even print. The scanning function is the most frustrating since frequently it'll just fail to detect the device at all. I have given up on this machine and just decided to toss it in the trash/recycle and get another laser printer from another more mainstream vendor since I can't continue wasting so much time every time I need to print or scan something.

You get what you pay for with this one
Functions as it should be the scanning function is wildly slow. Like several minutes to scan a single page slow. I won't use it often for scanning so it's not the end of the world but it's 2025 there's no excuse for it taking that long. I've got 20 dollar pocket scanners that are many many times faster.Even bigger annoyance is there's no internal paper storage!? So you always have to have the bottom tray open with a stack of paper in it which looks janky at best. You get what you pay for in this one, go ahead and pay a little more and get a Brother or similar unless you're going to very rarely use this. Not worth the hassle of returning it as it's going to rarely be used but overall I'm far far from impressed.
