Well written Azure AI Services explanation
This book does not cover the Open AI components that were added to the exam in April 2024, but is otherwise an excellent synopsis of the AI ecosystem that Microsoft has built in Azure. It is very well organized and presented. Very easy to understand.

Want to pass the AI-900 certification read this book plus.
This book was a great study guide for the AI-900 test (which I passed), in conjunction with the material on learn.microsoft.com. Read through the book several times, dipped it in yellow highlighter! Word of advice, if you are not getting 90-100% correct on the Practice tests offered on learn.microsoft.com do NOT take the test. Yes, it is that tricky/thorough. Good luck

Outdated Poorly Organized and Often Wrong - Be Careful
This book is now outdated. Nevermind that it's written poorly and organized poorly (for example, read the book and see if you can come up with a simple list of "AI workloads"). The author swaps workload for service for tool back and forth, yet these terms are critical for passing the exam. This book caused me more problems than it helped, I am throwing it away and will use the online free Microsoft Master the Basics of Azure AI Fundamentals official course.

Outdated, overly unorganised, unclear illustrations
I’m writing this review out of frustration and to warn other buyers. Buy it only if you don't have another way to learn. The book can also help a bit if you are already familiar with the topics. In this case, the book will give you the material that covers 70% of the exam in one place. The book is outdated, poorly organised, and filled with unclear illustrations. I originally chose to buy a book — instead of relying solely on video tutorials — to save time and have a written resource that’s focused on the certification objectives. Unfortunately, this book did the opposite. Its disorganized structure made it hard to follow, and I often found myself wasting time just trying to make sense of the flow. On top of that, the explanations are vague and lacking depth — I had to constantly turn to ChatGPT, Microsoft Learn, and YouTube to understand. It feels like the author copied content from other sources without fully understanding it, which shows throughout the book. I cannot recommend this resource for serious learners preparing for certification.I would try other resources if I had to do this again.

Would not buy again
The material in this book is not well organized. There are so many components within each service that I found it very difficult to navigate my learning using the Microsoft learn or using this book. I tried to take practice exams “open book” with this book and could not find the answers. It wasn’t until I had a good understanding of everything and went back to read this book, when I finally was able to find useful information in a retainable format. My favorite nuggets were when the book would compare and contrast similar workloads. Overall, I did most of my prep for the exam using online classes and practice exam questions.
