Old Stock! Purchased in Jan 2025 but received the V1.x board with the old power monitoring chip.
It didn’t matter for my application but a warning to anyone. The Dual R3 has two different power measurement chipsets depending on the PCB version. I purchased from in Jan 2025 and received a v1.x (I think 1.6) PCB with the older chip. It is also a bit more complicated to flash with your chosen firmware because it doesn’t support diy mode.Hardware is great, 2 external switch inputs, 2 outputs, status led’s and a button, all in a neat package.UPDATE: Seller communicated well when I highlighted the version discrepancy and offered a refund as a gesture. In most cases it doesn’t matter which version you receive unless power monitoring is your prime reason for purchasing.

Might be useful to me as a power monitor, remote or voice operated switch or curtain closer.
I actually bought this to find out how it worked so i could help someone who was having issues after installation as a light switch. In the process of setting up on a test board I worked out a process of how to read various pulses with a homemade interface to my ipad using voice memo appI have used Sonoff devices for some years now and they are very reliable. I have used this brand to make zone valves in central heating smart, remote control for inverters.

Works nicely with multiway switching and home assistant
Works well for multiway switching where you cant just replace the switches with smart switches. Slightly too big to fit inside a ceiling rose so had to use a cowl and fit up inside the ceiling space.Integrates nicely with home assistant and as it two channel it can independently operate both our hallway lights from HA whilst also able to turn both on and off from wall switch. This will only work on 2.4ghz wifi so if you have band steering, you might see an issue. Do yourself a favour and make an IoT only wifi SSID and lock it to 2.4ghz if you can.

Tried to use for garage door, but used for a roller instead
I tried to use this to make my garage door smart controller, but i couldnt figure out how to integrate this alongside my keyfob. Therefore, I changed direction and instead used it for a custom roller blind in the garage.Using for its intended purpose was straight forward, the instructions cover several different configurations that this may be used for, which was super useful.Alex control was so straight forward and I use this as my prefered control method.Overall, it's great. Tiny product, very compact, somewhat straight forward to install, great instructions and smart control. Very very good product. Just make sure you have enough room in the wall box.

Sonoff, what an old friend.
I truly think that all people who started their own smarthome journey got the bug with sonoff. you start with their software before realising that they are easy to flash and you can take them off some 3rd parties cloud platform and have it all done yourself.Whilst this is says its a curtain switch, in reality its just a 2 gang smart switch. you can run any 240v device from it.As anything with ewelink, I find that the app is very good and is one of best ways of adding devices of all the smarthome applications. For those who haven't used it before make sure that you have you 2.4ghz Wi-Fi enabled on your router.Once added you get to see the device and a choice of what you want to happen with it. be that inching mode for momentary presses for things like garage doors or curtains, or a normal switch where its just on or off.One thing underplayed with this device is the power consumption monitor, this gives you a Realtime view of how much electric is being used. One annoying thing about this device is that it only has one neutral point on the device, where as your really going to need to have two.So that the normal operation, but why stop there when you can make your own smarthome and install tasmota. Sonoff know you will be doing this and make is easy. There are exposed pads for you to connect to, they've put them on the sides and the easiest way to get onto them is with 4 crocodile clips. from there sit back and just eat up the awesome information and guides that you can find on blackadderSonoff, you will always be my favourite
