Super effective and humane trap!
One of the easiest traps to set and then most effective for mice. Also super easy to release the little guys somewhere faaar away!

Gotcha!
Indeed, this trap works. The very first night I laid these out, I caught my new unwelcome guest easily. Peanut butter is the way to go, they can't resist it. I tend to keep my foodstuffs well sealed and confined to 2-3 well sealed cabinets. Having recently bought my new home, I still don't have a lot of food in house, so timing worked out well. This mouse did not find many treats to access and I found zero evidence he got to anything. So I'm sure it was hungry. In tandem, I purchased rodent repellant, placed it near access areas outside and inside, bombed the place with diffused essential oils (they apparently hate peppermint and garlic, as well as most citrus/lemon, citronella, lavender, etc.). So this little guy's move in was brief and likely very unpleasant. I became obsessive about making the exterior of my house as mouse proof as possible. I know where this one got in, sump pump drain in basement, where I first caught sight of him. That is now completely sealed off, put grates on the PVC drain outside, sealed up the outside sump pump/house drainage well, sealed up the interior sump pump drain cover. And put the second trap near this former basement weak point, a bunch of more repellant (golf ball sized variety) around that! Mice can get through a 1/4" gap, which is pretty crazy. The outside drain grate slots are probably about that size. However, I don't think any others made it through and seriously doubt they will try to make it through again in hurry. Now I've made it a WAY more difficult and unpleasant journey, if not pretty much impossible for anything but a mission impossible mouse. I have not seen much in the way of droppings. I did notice the smell when the mouse was hiding in and around the stove and the fridge. Surprisingly strong and really bad, isolated to a relatively small area in kitchen. Like dog poo and cat pee and musk-rotten egg all combined. Just one mouse produced this? That immediately disappeared once I caught him and released. Thank goodness. It's surprising what mice are capable of and how big an impact they have on the household environment, so I'm remaining vigilant. Once caught, easy to release by removing the back cover that contains the bait. Had to shake him out of there, but that was it. Glad it did not come to killing this rodent. (I drove like 5 miles to a side of a road and let him go). I would have taken stronger measures had it not worked, felt like good karma to not kill it. This trap is highly recommended!

Not worth it
These work great for capturing mice but it does not get of the problem. If you just keep releasing the mice they just find the way back in the house. You can get better solutions for really cheap if you are ok with harming the mouse and actually getting rid of the problem. Sometimes you either have to either deal with it or solve the problem. They aren’t easy to disguise either with the bright green color and the giant size of them. Just buy a cheap mouse trap from the store and that will do it.

It Just Works... Really really well
After 2 exterminators and all their fancy traps were left empty this trap actually worked and caught a mouse. Just dumped the dead mouse and reset it. I can't recommend this trap enough. I baited it with the regular green mouse poison bricks. Buy buy buy!!!

Injury Free, Easy to Use, Quick Results - PB a must!
I had a tiny little field mouse that scampered into my five star barn. I did not want anything to catch him that would cause him pain, or kill him, or make him suffer, but I needed something that worked and worked quickly.I looked through a lot of different humane reviews, and even contacted my pest control who did not have any humane options.I grew up as a Disney child and the skewed my views of rodents exponentially. I did not want any harm to come upon my little friend. So after doing a lot of research, I found this on Amazon and figured it was worth a try. The reviews that many people have was great and helpful to decide that I was going to try it.The shipping came quickly, and it took me a minute to figure out how to use it. My little mouse seemed to love sprout pellets, but everyone on here swore that peanut butter is the key. So I did a little bit of both it took less than 24 hours to capture my friend. So here's a couple key things that may help if you buy this.1. It is reusable, which means you can wash it and use it again, so you do not have to throw it away and buy another in the future.2. The end with the spring at the bottom is the opening of the trap, the gate. You will push that down to set it. It will click underneath the piece where you put the food. Although it has a hard click when setting it, the springboard is really sensitive, so if you click the springboard from the other side (even very lightly) it quickly closes. This is also helpful for the mouse to make sure that he doesn't get his tail trapped as the gate closes (One of the reviews said that their mouse's tail got caught in the gate)3. The other side has a opening, but you have to slide it up. It comes completely out and it's a little hard to get it back in, it's kind of a tight fit. When you take this off you will see a piece of plastic inside the mousetrap. On the very end of that plastic piece (the springboard) is where you want to put your food. Put it toward the end, as much as you can to make sure that the mouse is fully on the springboard before it snaps the gate shut.4. Make sure that when you put this trap down, you put it in the path of where the mouse runs. You will know this by where the mouse droppings are.Best product is five stars, it worked for me, and I'm very glad I made the decision to use it. I hope this review helps :-)
