Easy to install. Perfect picture.
If there is a fault with this it's that case/chassis of this is black and the labels are blue.Very hard to read. Paper labels would have been okay. I'll just use my label maker. B>)I wish that the audio out was standard Red & white RCA female instead of TRS.I need a longer cable to get to my audio system.Positive: Didn't need the instructions to connect thisPositive: Picture on the TV was perfect with no degradation. (I had feared a bad picture)So far I recommend this as a way to get audio from your TV since we live in a world where TV audio is only available from speakers on most TV'sIf there is an audio problem I'll deduct a star and report that here.Power for this needs a supply of 5 volts for the audio output but not to get a picture. Plugs into a USB "A" plug. [thats nice]The unit is tiny so no space really needed.Overall ,another "I couldn't have built this myself"

WORKS GREAT!
I have a really good set of computer speakers with a subwoofer, and I wanted the sound from my Blu-ray player to go through them instead of the HDMI, but it doesn’t have RCA jacks, just the hdmi port. The converter does come with its own HDMI cable because you do need two, but not a separate aux cable! I plugged this in, plugged in the USB cable into a power source because it does need to be powered, and then plugged it into the aux port on my speakers, and the sound was great and matched perfectly with the video. keep in mind if you’re not using RCA jacks, you need your own aux cable because it doesn’t come with a separate two sided 3.5 mm jack cord!

No go for HDMI Arc to RCA speakers
Works great with “old” technology. Does not configure with Smart TV HDMI Arc port so that the sound can go through RCA speaker ports.

Works with a Raspberry pi
I got this to add sound to the Raspberry pi 400 that my granddaughter uses when she visits. Pi 400s and Pi 5s don't have a 3.5mm audio output but do provide sound via HDMI. I just plugged this in line with the HDMI cable and into a USB port for power, then plugged in some powered computer speakers. It worked first try! It came with all the cables I needed. Now she can have YouTube with sound!

It worked! I can now use my stereo with my Roku
Newer Rokus do not have an RCA or stereo out port any more. At least none that I could find.I had to replace my old Roku because some of the streaming apps stopped working with it. When I got my new one, I realized that there was no way to send the audio to my stereo any more. I even went on line to see if there was a different newer model Roku that had stereo out. I didn’t find one. After some searching I found this Audio Extractor Splitter and decided to give it a try.It works! It’s easy to set up, and it did exactly what I needed it to do.The only draw back was that the stereo jack to RCA cable was not long enough for my setup, but I had a longer one in my drawer of misfit cables.I’m very happy with this little device!
