Super bright
I've read all of the reviews. It is very clear that most do not follow instructions. Lock tight is great but if your serious about it not moving or falling off use ROCKSET!!!! At the minimum the high temp red lock tight as the barrel gets FREAKIN HOT! Blue just gets soft when warm....no good. If installed properly these sights are fantastic. YMMV

Amazing visibility
I don't think I really understood just quite how this "fiber optic" tech was supposed to help me find my muzzle better, or more quickly, until I actually got these.Holy cow, these were real eye-openers. The ambient light hits it from the side, and "broadcasts" it along its length. They just GLOW, as if they're electrified. Amazing, to me, anyway.Get some Loctite Threadlocker Blue to ensure it won't shift when you fire. It's pretty solid anyway, but use that to be sure. It's strong, but removable.If you're thinking of using this to replace the bead on your 870 (like I did), you won't be disappointed!

Outstanding replacement for beads or small fiber optic sights
Many shotguns come equipped with small, red, fiber optic sights. They just don't "light up" very well in the early morning woods. I've replaced just about all these those sights with HIVIZ Lightwave Compsights. They are easy to install and gather much more light. Great for turkey hunting. They are not very tall and won't alter your point of aim or point of impact. Highly recommended.
