Q: Has anyone used this successfully to mix/combine multiple drum mics for live performances?

You can do it, it works but you can’t do a cut off in each channel or you don’t have an EQ control in each channel sound. If you have noise problem is a bit complicated to control. At the end, you only control main output of all the mix. I have done this like you want and works as much as you have a good unidirectional mics to certain instruments

Q: Does this unit provide phantom power to the audio sources?

I believe it does, but the manual is available on the Behringer website. I don't use condenser mics, so it's not an issue for me.
