They're a Workhorse!
My kitchen towel situation was, for a long time, a sad assortment of mismatched rags that had seen better days (and possibly belonged to a previous owner of my house). They were linty, not very absorbent, and generally just... there. I decided it was time for a change. A grown-up change. A change that involved words like "organic" and "GOTS certified." That's how I ended up with this 12-pack of HONEST WEAVE Flour Sack Cotton Kitchen Towels. When this substantial bundle arrived, it felt like I'd just received a delivery of potential. They're large – seriously large, 27x27 inches! – and feel soft yet sturdy. They look like the kind of towels you see in fancy cooking shows, or maybe in a rustic farmhouse kitchen owned by someone who actually knows how to bake bread from scratch. I felt a sudden urge to tie one around my head like a bandana and tackle some serious culinary tasks.Using these towels is a revelation. They are incredibly absorbent. Like, spill a glass of water, grab one of these, and the mess is gone in seconds absorbent. They dry dishes without leaving behind a trail of annoying lint, which is a minor miracle in the world of kitchen towels. My glassware actually sparkles now, instead of looking like it's been wiped with a fuzzy cloud.Beyond drying, they're fantastic for everything. Covering dough while it proofs? Perfect. Wiping down counters? They grab spills and crumbs with ease. Using them as impromptu napkins during a particularly messy snack? Absolutely. They feel durable and well-made, like they can withstand hundreds of washes and still come out ready for action. My old towels are now officially retired to the "garage rags" pile, where they belong. If you're tired of linty, non-absorbent towels, appreciate the feel of quality organic cotton, and want a versatile kitchen workhorse that looks good doing its job, this pack of flour sack towels is fantastic. They've elevated my kitchen cleanup game and made drying dishes significantly less annoying. I'm thoroughly impressed with these absorbent wonders.

Hot water is fine for these.
These can handle hot water washing. The directions say to wash in cold water, but I always wash linens/towels in hot water with white vinegar and a mild detergent. No bleach or other laundry additives, and no dryer sheets/additives. I didn't know if these would shrink using that protocol, so I tried washing a few while leaving the others in the package. I always dry on low heat as I think the dryer gets too hot otherwise. These dried very quickly. Then I compared the washed/dried towels to one from the package. The washed/dried towels shrank by about 1/2 inch along one edge and nearly 1 inch along the other edge. Not bad at all. They came out looking fine. I am looking forward to reducing our reliance on paper towels by using these in the kitchen. They are well-made, and there's a little strap on one corner so you can hang them on a hook, if desired. I bought the natural tan. Love them. (And, yes, "shrank" is the right word...not "shrunk" like the old movie title stated.) Back to the towels, they are high quality with good workmanship.

I replaced paper towels with these!
Love these towels! Use them as kitchen universal towels as well as napkins. I was practically able to stop using paper towels by using these instead. Then I throw them in the washing machine, heavy soil cycle without any pre-treatment with a stain remover and they come out clean! Clean enough. Such a great way to make my home greener.

These work great!
These towels work great! We use them to dry produce and to soak up the chicken, pork, juice when cooking. It saves us money on paper towels. And also, these do not collect lint, so I dont need to worry about getting lint on our food. I would just suggest to wash them on hot if you use them to soak chicken juices like we do. They are quality and I am glad they are organic cotton!

Very nice
Takes a few cycles in the washer so they become more absorbent, overall I love these towels! No lint, little cotton hook on them to hang up, great size for dishes, etc.

Do not use fabric softner!!
These towels are excellent, the reason others were having a problem with absorption was because you cannot use fabric softner with towels, the softner makes the towel soft, but it makes the towel lest absorbant. If you have a top loader washing machine use no softner at all, If you have a front loader, the softner is required, so as to get the soap out of the towels or clothing. I have a front loader, I dilute the softner in the tray, then wash, then I wash again with no soap, no softner. Yes it is time consuming but worth it.

Super versatile uses and great value for the money.
I LOVE these towels. They work so so well for multiple applications. I have used these to make butter in place of cheese cloth, to cover my sour dough and as a general dish cloth. They are absorbent, soft and very effective for drying your hands. They don’t produce lint or pill. The number you get and uses you have with them make them a great value for the money. 100% recommend.
