The media could not be loaded. **I posted a chaotic video below of this gate that got slightly cut off at the end because my poor baby was crying so I didn't get to end my review properly but he’s FINE and I covered all talking points in the text below*** anyway- didn’t have the energy to take another video LOLGORGEOUS and GREAT VALUE! The ‘Y’ bar saved me because there was no other way I could utilize a baby gate in this space without rigging something myself that would undoubtedly look awful. Just checkout my photos to see how it looks! CONS: mechanism isn’t as smooth or easy to open as the other baby gate I own (brand: Summer) and my toddler cannot open it on her own like she can with the Summer (Pro and Con?). Doesn’t swing closed automatically as advertised. No big deal for me. And lastly, the little threshold that comes with it (I’m assuming this is to avoid tripping) does not work for my space but this also wasn’t a big deal for me. The PROS: it’s truly so beautiful, the design of it is sleek and lovely. My baby cannot open it, which is the ideal intended outcome LOL, it fits my unique space with one specialty ‘Y’ bar needed on my bannister. Install was easy-peasy and I did it with two kiddos hanging all over me, annoyingly. Very sturdy design. Feels stronger than my other baby gate. I love it and would definitely purchase more and recommend it to anyone!

I have a really awkward mid century stairwell with brass railings that no other gate would fit securely. I tried several. This does an excellent job of keeping my dog upstairs and looks decent. I don’t honestly think there’s a gate I’d get excited about aesthetically but this is plain and low profile especially considering it’s strength. Easy for adult humans to operate and keeps my old dog from falling down the stairs. It has stayed put perfectly, feels solid and it doesn’t damage my walls or bannisters. The foot plate to catch the gate is useful. It swings both ways and closes after you which is a nice feature when you’re carrying a laundry basket or whatever. Although the instructions don’t explain much (which is par for the course these days), it was fairly easy to figure out after some minor frustration.

Really nice baby gate. 1) easy to put together, 2) very sturdy using the pressure mount option, 3) multiple options to mount (pressure mount, screw in or adhesive option), 4) easy one hand opening, 5) swings shut automatically, 6) overall just a good baby gate

This is a heavy-duty grade gate that would be perfect for my big, insecure doggo who is terrified that The Enemy Is At The Gate whenever someone walks down the street.But I am intimidated at mounting these two big, heavy things by making holes in the walls and mounting them correctly. (I ordered two gates so that Scaredy-cat boy wouldn't be able to approach the front door for his screaming alerts.) Getting this wrong on mounting is going to make a huge mess on my walls. Now I have these two gates, but am stalling, knowing that I'd make a mess of mounting them. So I continue to use treats to redirect my scaredy-cat boy...not a great solution. Sigh. The gates look sturdy and useful But I'm unqualified to destroy the front area walls of my house.. Sorry, guys. Suggestions?

I first selected another product with a 4.5 that looked just like this. It was flimsy, a challenge to install and not well designed. I returned it and tried this one and couldn’t be more pleased. It is sturdy, well engineered and was easy to install. The sections interlock with two small posts rather than one like on the initial one I ordered. It solidly fits in my opening which is about 56 inches wide. The gate swings both ways and swings shut behind you when opened all the way. I bought a second one for an other wide door way I have.

I love this gate. Very easy to put up. Made very well. Self closing . Works every time! Not sure why someone said it doesn't self close. Probably isn't level. Works great for me. I give it a 10!

I used the suction cup for stability and it works great! Easy to install also! Opening the gate is a little hard because you have to press push the latch while pulling up to open it but it also serves as an extra layer of safety for the baby so I dont mind it. The height is great and fits from wall to wall perfectly.
