Amazon Brand - Solimo for Dogs Large Dog (45-88 pounds) Flea and Tick Treatment, 6 Doses

For 2 years I've been through just about every over the counter flea solution one can buy. Just on a whim "I guess it can't hurt to try one more." I got this product. My dog has been flea free for two months right in the peak season of late spring early summer for them. I applied this high quality product between my pups shoulder blades and it killed whatever fleas she had within a day. She experienced a mild skin irritation but on the second dose 4 weeks later that stopped.

Second time using this for my 55lb female pit bull mix. No side effects, easy application, and seems to work great! I bought the 6 month supply for the warmer months (no need for it where I live in the colder months). Great bang for your buck if anyone has a similar breed dog (since pit bull mixes are known to have sensitive skin sometimes!).The only downside I've had is that it smells kind of fishy for the first hour or so, but its gone in the morning!

The media could not be loaded. 18 hours after applying this flea product to my healthy 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur, she died of anaphylactic shock. She bled out as her blood would not clot. After rushing her to the emergency vet and spending $2,000 to save her, the tests confirm that she was poisoned by this product! I'm furious. DO NOT use this product!We applied Amazon Basics Flea and Tick Topical (Large dog 45 - 80 lbs) This is a generic to FrontLine Plus. It was administered as instructed between the shoulders of our healthy, 4 year old Black Mouth Cur Sunny.She was perfectly fine in the morning and was with me all day at my desk until 5 pm. When I got up at 5, she did too then started throwing up and lost control of her bowels.We rushed her to the emergency vet who ran xrays and blood work to confirm she had gone into anaphylaxis shock and her blood would not clot anymore. She was bleeding out due to the toxicity of the dose of the pesticide. The veterinarian asked if she could have gotten into rat poison and I told him no, but I had just applied this flea and tick dose.He confirmed that was the likely culprit. We had to euthanize her to prevent further suffering. We are completely devastated.Please stay away from this product. I found 10 other reviews that say this product KILLED THEIR DOGS.Yet, Amazon won't remove the product. BEWARE!!

I needed flea treatment fast, and this did the job. It’s affordable, works well, and was a great value for something I needed immediately. That said, for long-term use, I’d recommend looking into something less toxic for your pup’s health.It’s a solid option if you’re in a bind, and it controlled our flea outbreak before it got out of hand, but if you have time to plan, I’d invest in a gentler product for your furry friend.

This definitely works just as well as the name brands. We have two dogs, a Corgi and an Aussie, so they have thick coats. This is still effective even with their dense coats. We have had zero issues with fleas while using it. I haven't run into any safety issues with it like I have with other brands. (With another brand my cat that sleeps with one of our dogs had a seizure from the dog's flea treatment. It has not happed with this brand.) It does leave a greasy look, but for only a few days. It's easy to use and a great price considering how much name brands usually are.

Has anyone else had their dog experience drop tail after using this? Our other dog had no problem with this brand, but our new dog got drop tail after putting this on. He hasn’t done anything out of the ordinary, no swimming etc. just this flea treatment.
