12 dozen bobbins!
While winding a bobbin a few weeks ago, my bobbin thread slipped below the bobbin winder on my Skyline S9. It didn't take long to realized what had happed and I have spent at least an hour trying to remove all the mess and I'm not done yet. Until I had that thread all cleaned out and needing its yearly servicing to have the mechanic check that all is okay, I don't want to wind a bobbin on the machine for now. I do have other machines that I could use to wind the bobbins, for one long period of time I used my embroidery only machine to wind bobbins but I have run out of space for machines unless I am actively going to be using them. That being said, I decided to buy a box of pre-wound bobbins with white thread. I was just testing out my new circular attachment and with 2 inches to go on one circle, my bobbin ran out of thread. Unfortunately the circular attachment covers the bobbin area so I couldn't do my visual check to see how much thread I had available. I popped one of these bobbins into my machine, used the needle up/down feature brought the bobbin thread to the surface and got things set to resew. As I was in the midst of a decorative stitch I had to figured out where I was with that stitchout, but I was pretty close. I am going to love having this box of white bobbins. For some reason that I don't know why, I have always hated winding bobbins. It will be interesting to see how long they last. They are a Brothread brand and I have not had any trouble with any other thread of theirs that I have used. At about $0.17 per bobbin you get around 120 yards per bobbin, so 17280 yards of thread per box. The cost of the box is about what you would pay for empty bobbins, you are paying a decent price for the thread, and whatever your time value for winding each bobbin, and like me, spending over an hour to clean up a mess and I am not even done yet. These bobbins are a bargain. Plus no stopping your sewing endorphins by having to stop and wind a bobbin. Anything that I can do more simply and easily, I go for it anymore. I have so much limited time to sew before my body says 'enough' and I would rather sew than wind bobbins.

they are not for all embroidery machines
I guess I didn't read this carefully enough. These are heavy weighted cotton bobbins, really not for embroidery machines. I had to loosen my tension on one machine to use them. I will order another brand of poly 60 weight.Update- I have used these bobbins in one of my machines for 2 days now and they are working out just fine.I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 5. I don't think they will work in my other machines, I'm ok with that.

Great bobbins
These bobbins are very reliable. I have used them for several years on my Babylocks and now I used them on my Smartstitch S-1001.

Ok bobbin
I ordered these bobbins instead of Fil Tec magnetic bobbins. These are ok - work with Babylock Bmp9 but when bobbin is empty the plastic spool sometimes is harder to remove from bobbin case. In contrast the bobbin sometimes falls out of case when trying to load in machine. Will pay the additional cost and get FilTec next time.
