The Little Desk That Could
This desk was super easy to put together, and is better looking in person than the product pictures suggest. All the parts were clearly labeled with nothing missing (there was even a little bag of screws labeled 'spares'), the instructions were easy to follow, it came with all the tools needed, and it took two people less than an hour to assemble. The only trouble we ran into was while attaching the back panel: the nuts weren't pushed in far enough, so the screws weren't going into them. I just gently pushed them in. I included a picture of what the nuts should look like. The current table I keep my laptop on won't cut it for my new computer, so this desk was purchased mostly out of necessity. I didn't expect to like it so much. It's cute, and feels solid and sturdy. I have cats, so stability in furniture is very important to me. The castor wheels aren't the smoothest, but I prefer that to wheels that send the desk flying at the slightest touch. This desk was a great buy, and very good quality, especially for the price. Highly recommended.********************************Update 11/19/2015:I’ve been using this desk for the past few months now, and I still love it. It works perfectly, and suits my needs just right. I’ve got my computer tower on the bottom shelf (a corsair 200r, and it has to face sideways since it’s so big, but it does fit) and a 23’’ monitor on top. I have the adjustable shelf behind the computer monitor to support it, and some safety straps on the monitor’s base to protect it from tipping over. The desk has had no problems with durability or stability since I’ve been using it, and I can fit a surprising amount of stuff on the desk even with the monitor there. After using it these past three months, the only small gripe I have is the keyboard shelf; it doesn’t come out far enough. But it’s a minor complaint, and for the low price this desk really is a great buy, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Five stars with some caveats.
I agree with many of the posters here. This desk is compact, sturdy, nice looking, functional. Some observations:1. The color brown (espresso) looks black to me. Maybe it's a very, very dark brown. It actually matches my other black furniture well.2. It's not really hard to put together, although it did take me several hours. However, I'm a 64 year old weakling (female), so you may need less time.3. The directions are some of the best I have seen (it could use some additional closeup insets) and the tools provided are nearly full size. I was quite impressed with the philips head screw driver. The parts were clearly labeled. Assembly was very well thought out.4. I think this desk would best suit shorter individuals (I am 5'3"). The keyboard tray is the perfect height for me.5. Note: there is no room for the mouse on the keyboard tray. I purchased the Aidata Mouse Platform Under Desk (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V2Q2B5I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00). It attaches well and the mouse is at the pefect height for me. A tall person may not find this comfortable, however.6. The weight limit for the bottom shelf is 30 pounds. My cpu weighs a shade over 30 pounds, so I needed to put the unit next to the desk. I purchased a mobile cpu stand for it. I put my printer on the bottom shelf along with some desk acessories. There was not enough room to put a ream of paper next to it.7. In order to make more room on the desk top, I also purchased the AmazonBasics Adjustable Monitor Stand. I have not yet received it, but I anticipate that with it, I can put a ream of paper under the monitor and also have room for my dsl modem on top.7. I mounted the adjustable shelf on the back of the desk and use it for my flat bed scanner.8. There is clearance for my wheeled desk chair to fit under the desk, and of course, my legs fit under the desk too.Bottom line: with the above additions, the desk is attractive and functional.

Not bad
The desk is nice and small so if that is what you are looking for here it is.You will need a couple of different sized screw drivers when assembling this desk even though it comes with one or you risk stripping screws.I did not use the CD storage rack, I think that most people would not use this rack. I got this for my daughter. I am not sure if she even knows what a music CD is. I guess you could use it for jewel cases if you are still storing data on optical media. This feature seems very antiquated to me, then again if you look at the image of the desk the computer in the photo is pretty dated. The printer/monitor attachment that shows in various locations does not have to be used if you so desire.I think the desk design is still great, it is on wheels and easy to move around if you need to.Maybe a little design update will keep this going even longer or make it more desirable. Change the jewel case storage out for maybe a side storage organizer for pens or folders. It is a small desk so need as much free desk space as possible.Anyway, Great price, nice small desk, great for a person looking for something very small that can fit almost anywhere and put a computer on it or not.The reason for the 4 star rating versus 5 star rating is because when assembling one of the panels the pilot holes were just to small for the screws and the screws were going in very hard and began to strip. I had to go back a couple of steps to access the panel to make it easier for me to install and then continue. Made it a lot harder. I did not drill out the holes, I did not want to modify it and void the warranty. Other than that it was easy to put together, instructions and parts are labeled very well.hope this helpsI would buy it again, and recommend it to a friend
