Give it a try - I like it.
Two things:I've only used the string that comes with the trimmer (same brand and diameter).My only comparison is .65 diameter round - not an expert.That being said, this stuff cuts great. Too great at times. It doesn't like rocks or concrete, but that's to be expected. For the price it's not a big deal either. If you need .80 line, this would be one to try.
