I have had a lettuce keeper for years that I originally bought from Tupperware. I finally decided to upgrade because of concerns about the safety of plastic from years ago. I was a little hesitant to buy this product because I read that the size was so big. I don't agree. The bowl is the size it needs to be to hold a head of lettuce. It is a little oversized for the smaller heads I choose, but it has to be big enough to accommodate different sizes.It does keep lettuce fresh much longer than without it. It is nice to just reach in and grab some leaves for sandwiches. I may need to tear off small edges near the core as that is what turns first, but that is to be expected. Overall, the lettuce stays fresh and crisp long enough for me to use the whole head. I like that the plastic is clear enough to see through it.I was a little worried the first time I washed the lid because it warped slightly, even on the top rack of the dishwasher. It is pliable enough to snap on the bowl as intended and I haven't had a problem, but I will be extra careful to not put the lid on the bottom rack.I also bought some plastic knives at the same time so that I can cut lettuce for salads and minimize browning.

Had been keeping my lettuce fresh for awhile! The lid is tricky and mine doesn't stay like it should. One person said put it in the dishwasher but . Don't have one of those... maybe hot water? And it is pretty big size. Too big for the veggies drawer so shelf space is required. Don't let either of those points discourage you. This is the best thing ever and your lettuce and veggies will love you!

It does the job I wanted it to. The lid is sometimes hard to snap on; but it does work if you push it down.It's the right size for a head of lettuce. Keeps my lettuce fresh a lot longer.

I bought this product September 30th, 2022. Writing this review October 13th, 2022. So it has been 2 weeks of using this item. I had bought a head of lettuce 3 or 4 days before I received this product and in those few days span the outer layer began to wilt and turn brown on the edges. So when I got the product I took the outer layer off and 2 weeks later the head of lettuce is crisp and good as new. No mold, no wilting, no browning. Just crisp green lettuce. Highly recommend me. Only reason I gave it a 4 for sturdiness is because the spike you push into the base of the lettuce is easy to break if you press to hard. Container still works even if the spike is broken but would suggest putting a hole in the base of the lettuce before hand or piercing the lettuce with the spike slowly with gentle twisting left and right to carefully wedge it in. Other wise tho its amazing and I'm really glad I bought it.To lazy to take photos but there's other reviews with photos if you want to them.

The lid pops off,therefore your lettuce will spoil.Dont waste your money on this.very disappointing.i had a Tupperware crisper before but lost the lid so I hoped this would be a good replacement.so disappointed.waste of money.

This is ok, a little disappointed, the lettuce fits perfectly, but the lid is flimsy, sometimes doesn’t stay on and I have not washed in the dishwasher. I would of liked the lid to close more securely.

This thing really works. Just for the heck of it, I put a head of lettuce in the Lettuce Keeper and kept another outside of it. The dang thing stayed fresher in it quite a bit longer. Not sure why, but it sure seems to work.

When I bought this item I was surprised at the number of its negative reviews, but I bought it anyway. People are funny, they don't read the instructions, I do. I've had it for about 6 weeks now and could not be more satisfied. I'vehad more expensive lettuce keepers and they didn't work nearly as well. It may not look super sturdy or whatever but what matters is how it works and this puppy works. I can honestly say that lettuce seems fresher after a couple of weeks in the keeper than it did when I bought it. Follow the instructions that come with this keeper and you'll throw away a lot less lettuce. The money you save will allow you to enjoy a better glass of vino and isn't that what the good life is all about?
