This is what I wanted for drilling holes in my truck bumper for the Nutsert installation .It worked as advertised and cleaned the surface for a good flat mount of the threaded rivet. They are sharp and I had no trouble drilling in stainless steel with mine. I have three A,B and C drill indexes but this saved me time getting the drills out. It has its' limits, but was still a good investment for the shop.

The bit was what I was looking for. I've used it to drill out 10 holes so far in 1/8" steel tubing. It worked great. My only knock is that on the shaft, there were supposed to be 3 flat sides for the drill chuck to squeeze down on; well all 3 of these areas were barely flattened, still slightly beveled. This allowed the but to continually come loose in the chuck. I finally ran these 3 beveled sides against my grinder which created the flat areas it was supposed to have. Then it never came loose in the drill chuck again.

Removes the burr on cut steel pipe just as good as an expensive pipe reamer. I would buy a reamer if I were cutting a lot of pipe, but for a small job it worked perfectly. Putting a couple drops of cutting oil on the bit helped. Well-machined, looks like it ought to stay sharp if you don't abuse it. Nice little plastic storage box keeps it from being knocked around in your tool bag.

I was looking for a similar product at my hardware store for a project I was working on where I had to make a big hole in a metal sheet to a specific metric measurement, but I live in America and not only are all the expanding hole drill bits in the American measurement system, but they're crazy expensive at hardware stores. I put this thing through a sheet of metal that broke and melted two of my other drill bits and it's still in great condition. I don't know whether or not it will degrade over time, but for the project I bought it for, I could not have been happier.

they do not work on metal, I had to go buy a one at Home Depot that worked, these chipped as you used them Very Low Quality, do not buy these they will barely do One hole before falling apart , very disappointed in the quality,

These would be excellent for cutting holes in aluminum cans. I tried cutting 3/4 holes in a heavy steel truck ladder rack to customize. I got almost through 1 hole before it dulled. I used oil. I avoided smoking high speed. They are just too soft. I went to get a real brand at the hardware store and walked through 8 holes with ease, proving my technique. These are fine for soft metal, but not steel.
