Hello, both the mk1 and mk2 with 6.25 and 8.33 khz steps . And it with USB programming cable.

The main body have a button on the side.

Q: How do I detatch the remote control from the main body?

The front face slides to the side,towards the release button that you would press. The inner cable is quite short, just to make you aware.

Good solid radio for the money.

I use this mobile and at home. Excellent radio for the money. Plenty of power, does all 4 ham bands. (10m/6m/2m/70cm) Plus 446 PMR, and 11m CB Radio. Good on airband receive too.Most of the features of its Yaesu clone for 1/3 the money. Very sensitive on receive as well!
