Walnut Hollow 42162 4" Square Assortment, 36pcs Wood Plaque, Pine

I used these to make candle sticks. Had I been using them as actual plaques I would have been disappointed in the knots that were on the face of many of them. It would have been hard to have something written on them. Using them for candle sticks only a few of the knots on the edges caused issues.

Only 1 piece had a dark knot so big it wasnt useable. The rest were fine. Most were a little rough on the edges but I wonder if that is a character of the wood when you use a machine? The pieces looked fine after they were stained. Note: stain comes out darker on pine so use 1 or 2 shades lighter than what you want.

Good price for a good product. Pretty clean compared to other bases that have lots of fuzzy edges. These didn’t. I know at least some have a very flat bottom.. don’t know if all do, but it was a good price so I didn’t expect perfection

These blocks worked great with our family project. We used them to wood burn letters as scrabble pieces for our names on our family room. Great items for any project and they were all great quality.

The price and overall quality of these are good, but I have purchased them several times and each time I have had to sand the rough edges and sides on at least 75% of them.

Veey nice! Solid wood, nicely finished! Have several uses in mind such as coasters or a trophy base.

Bought these for a project I'm doing with grandkids. I lightly sanded, easy to use. They loved them.
