Daily Readings from Break Out!: 365 Devotions to Go Beyond Your Barriers and Live an Extraordinary Life

This is great for inspiration and a quick easy read. Good for a pickup when you need one. A must have if you are looking for inspiration that can fit in your bag or purse.

Nice book. Uplifting content. It did surprise me, however, that it was so small.

I am reviewing "Daily Readings From Break Out! 365 Devotions" by Joel Osteen. I have no idea why a crime novel's reviews are also showing up on this page. I bought the Kindle version of the Joel Osteen book.Since I am chemically sensitive and I react to paper and ink, yet I love the Page A Day calendars, I bought this on my Kindle and have started reading my Page A Day each morning with my morning hot tea. I'm familiar with Joel Osteen and this is very classic Joel devotional, optimistic and upbeat, just what I need for a quick start to my morning bible study.However, I have one gripe about the Kindle version and that is the font is much lighter by default than all the other books I download. It's a medium grey instead of a black. I have the lowest tech Kindle possible and while I can change font sizes, I cannot change font colors, not just on this book but on any, so it appears to have been a setting that the publisher chose, and probably by mistake.The title of the daily devo and the leading scripture is in the lightest color grey and then, thankfully, the rest of the text is in a slightly darker grey, but in order to make up for the difficulty to see the text, I am tempted every morning to increase the size of the font. On my Kindle, I can not designate one size font for one particular book that I read and have the machine default automatically back to my usual preferred size of font for everything else I read, so I either squint through my quick Break Out readings or I reset the font size every time I start and stop the Joel Osteen book. You can see how this minor irritation might be enough to discourage me from bothering to read this book I purchased, so I am warning other readers to consider this, unless your Kindle is more sophisticated than mine and can handle such problems. Hopefully, the Osteen people will figure out the glitch and correct it.

I love everything about these messages in the book

I had a need to know and consider how to go beyond the barriers in my life. I had a need to move on and forward. I am thankful that Joel Osteen wrote this book because I had a need to know.

Love this devotional, this is my 3rd year reading this book in a 6 year time period. I have also bought this for many friends of mine and it really has helped change our lives. I love the stories he shares and how encouraging he is.

I had not read any of Joel Osteen's books before I read _Every Day A Friday_ late last year. I was impressed with the practical information on Christian living in that book, so when I was looking for a daily insipirational reader for the new year I was pleased to see the book _Break Out_ available by Osteen. Unfortunately, it has been nothing like _Every Day A Friday_. There are Bible passages quoted, but each day the theme (at least for the year so far, it now being mid-February) is exactly the same. "God is going to accelerate positive change in your life even though you don't expect it".Nothing wrong with this theme once or twice - but it is the same practically every day. I feel I could have stopped reading after the first week of the year and not missed much. I would like to see a much wider variety of messages, as well as more information on how I can live as a better Christian.

This is a FANTASTIC book ~ I need this devotional to start my day with something inspiring, positive thinking and a way to start my day with JOY. Although his broadcasts are the BEST, this is a quick way to get good start to your day and I can visualize the words coming from Joel. I have purchased many of his books and they were an excellent investment for me.

As always Joel continues to encourage and uplift. Excellent book.
