questionable build quality.
new review.-------------they sent me new cables after bugging me over and over to allow them to send new ones to make up for the issue, and that defects happen. the ones they sent me have the same exact issue as this issue is a design flaw. the orig cables have started to come apart more after very little use. i ended up using heat-shrink tubing that has adhesive inside to fix them. that seems to be holding up fine. i have attached pics of what the orig cables look like after very little use, and what the replacement ones look like out of the package. while i appreciate good customer service, the constant pestering was really annoying. after adding the heat-shrink the cables feel a lot more sturdy, so i will keep using them as they do work well. this issue would be a real easy fix for them to implement.--------------orig review--------------while these seem to be working well, i doubt they will hold up for long. they have a huge design flaw and I'm not even sure how it made it into production with the way it is. the ends of the cables are not one solid piece each, they're two pieces with a gap, both of my cables came like this. when the cables gets flexed the gaps widen. so while the cables do work well i cant give them my recommendation until this issue is fixed as it feels like the ends are going to snap right off. the pictures i have attached are from a cable that i have not even used yet. when i saw the issue on the cable i was using i was like "oh maybe i got a bad one", then i checked the other one only to find it was the same way.

Questionable Durability and Inherent Design Flaw
I'm a fan of Nekteck's pricing and USB-IF certified products (have a car charger that works well), but as the other reviewer mentioned, I cannot stress enough that the cables I received have the significant gap on ALL ends. The neck of the cable where it usually tapers is typically the stress point that most cable manufacturers reinforce due to being prone to failure, but oddly enough the issue here isn't the 'neck' of the 'Nekteck' (ha.); it's the bulk of the connector where they decided to fit the housing in two pieces, which are not strongly glued/adhered together.I tested with very light pressure bending the cable at the juncture and both halves started to flex. I can imagine one accidental wrong bend with force in the future would break both pieces from each other. Thus, as affordable as this two pack is (probably the cheapest set of USB-IF C-C cables on Amazon), I cannot recommend these for longevity/durability sake.Even with a warranty extension they most likely will end up having to be replaced, wasting both time and money.*UPDATE:I have bumped up my 2 star rating to 3 stars for Nekteck's excellent customer service.Nekteck reached out to me promptly after this review and their support is superb (I'd give them 5 stars for that). They promptly sent me two replacement cables, which showed less of a gap but the design flaw remains. As it stands, all four of my cables are working and as long as no pressure is applied to that weak point, they continue to hold up. Granted, my cables are kept stationary at designated charging adapters around the house so none have been thrown in my bag and transported to incur more wear, so YMMV with usage scenarios. They all continue to fast charge my Essential phone with no issues -- I feel confident about Nektek's internals and the USB-IF certification of the cables in comparison to other USB C cables I've owned (including Anker) where they'd look fine externally, but stopped consistently rapid charging my phone.I intend on heat shrink wrapping the ends with a $6 kit from Amazon and that should solve the durability issue with the external housing.

Versatile cable for your on the go use
Great Value for Money Cable must say.. These are easy to use and pack. Cables should not be just of quality but also should be portable and versatile enough to get packed in your bag. Whats the point to quality braided cable if you can't pack it and be going. This is perfect so I highly recommend it. Wish the cables be USB 3.1 not USB 2.0 standard then would have great as well.. but nevertheless happy with the purchase. If you are using wall chargers you will definitely appreciate this 2M length.
