Perfect and longlasting, has been in almost daily use for several years.

Needed a new bulb for a 1960's Singer sewing machine. These are a nice "white" light , if you know what I mean and have the advantage that they don't get as hot as the old style bulbs, which is a bonus. The only thing that I would mention is that the base/ collar, where the bulb goes into the fitting, is slightly larger than the old bulb, which makes it somewhat awkward to fit. But, it goes in with a bit of fiddling.Longevity? Haven't had it long enough but, three months of occasional use, it's still going strong so I can't see any issues. Overall, I'd recommend.

There is something very aesthetically pleasing about the design of this bulb. And it fits perfectly into the bespoke fitting on my lamp, which was designed to accommodate a sewing-machine bulb many decades ago. Check the size chart to make sure it’s the right one for you. The only downsides, from my own point of view, are that, 1) This is a bright, cold white light, hardly “warm white”, and I would have liked a bulb that emitted a more cosy, golden glow. If only I’d done more research I would have noted that this is a 3000K bulb - far too bright for my purposes - I should have opted for 2200K or less; 2) Though not visible to the naked eye, the light flickers, and I can’t be sure just yet whether or not prolonged exposure to this light will trigger migraine attacks.

Ordered the cool white for my old Singer. It's certainly way brighter than the old style bulb, a great improvement, and I like the fact it doesn't heat up in the recess on the machine like an incandescent. Almost identical to the dimensions of the original incandescent bulbs, if anything the "bulb" part is a little slimmer. Fits fine: the locator pins are quite short, as another reviewer noted, but so were the pins on my old bulbs, they don't seem different to me. Arrived quickly, sensibly packed, and of course LEDs are robust anyway. Very happy.

These bulbs are great, excellent light for my 1960 Bernina. Best of all, no heat. The old bulbs made the casing hot enough to burn. Great value, good light source for sewing.

I purchased these to replace the lamp in my Singer Sewing machine. The original lamp had lasted over twenty years and I had a recent poor experience of replacing it with a standard bayonet lamp and it failing after only a few days use. These lamps come as a pair and are cheaper per unit than the standard type I bought before.They are slightly longer, so I measured the space to ensure they would fit. To my delight they do! Having a spare is great too.They came really quickly and have a guarantee, which you register with the company and they will replace the item for free within the year.The one I chose is warm white by description but it gives a lovely white, clear light to work by. I have marked the item five stars for longevity, despite not yet knowing how long they will last, because of their being a pair and having the extended guarantee.

DIdn't fit my vintage Singer sewing machine. Bulb base looked correct, pushed in OK but wouldn't rotate into place.

I ordered this to be used in a handmade craft christmas tree. The orginal pigmy bulb had blown & it was always hot due to lack of ventlation. This proved to be a very good replacement. Good colour rendition & much cooler.
