First, once they were made, they shipped so quickly that I’m surprised they had time to cool off. Second, these knives are so pretty. They have a good weight, sharp, beautiful handles and cut like a dream. I’m going to see if the maker can craft some steak knives and maybe a paring knife too. Now for me to craft a magnetic Purple Heart, or maybe Padauk block to hold them :)Update: I contacted the knife maker and asked about making 6 steak knives and 1 paring knife. He asked for a picture of what I wanted. I sent him an example picture and he created exactly what I sent. All Damascus and very beautiful. I allowed him to take his time in the creation process, once shipped, again it was quick! The knives are thick and have a good feel. Communication from the maker was pleasant and professional. If you want this man to replicate something for you, I am confident he can. One thing you need to know about his knives is, they are NOT stainless steel, they WILL rust since they are a high carbon steel. You HAVE to immediately wash, dry and oil these knives, just like cast iron cook ware. And DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DISH WASHER!!!! These are not cheap knives that are punched out of plate steel, they are hand made, they are going to have imperfections as all handmade things do. That is what sets them apart from mass produced knives made cheaply, they have character. I have attached One picture. The four knives at the top are the ones that I ordered directly off of Amazon. The seven remaining knives are the ones that I custom ordered from the maker. I sent him pictures of a KitchenAid steak knife and paring knife and he replicated, exactly, the knives that were in the picture I sent. To the maker I say: thank you for your hard work and dedication to my knives. Don’t be surprised if I contact you again, for say a large meat cleaver... To you, the person reading my review I say: buy them, or contact him for a custom order. Just make sure you send him pictures of exactly what you want, cause that is what you will get, only in Damascus.

My wife ordered them for a Father’s Day present they did not make it in time for Father’s Day because they were stuck in Pakistan for whatever reason. Very disappointed on the edge of the blade they are not as sharp as I expected, beautiful knives they are but when it comes to the sharpness stick with the Germans.....

absolutely stunning set of knives. great craftsmanship, love the colors and Damascus steel. only cons really are very slight imperfections in the handle/ blade connection as well as a few metal blemishes and a small hairline crack on one where the steel was folded on top. But definitely worth the price for sure!

Knives were a gift for my son to use when hunting.
