Cuts like a bigger saw.
This saw cuts like a much larger saw but doesn’t wear you out with the extra weight of a larger saw. The vibration isolators on handles are a nice feature as well.Pay close attention to instructions on installing/ replacing the chain ,the chain brake in side cover must be in the disengaged position by pulling the guard all the way back so it goes over center before you try to remove the cover. It’s a bear to reset if this isn’t done.

Leaks - Poor Customer Service
I used the saw 1 time for about an hour, then put it in the shed for the winter. Got it out of the shed this spring and found all of the chain oil had drained out. This is more than the typical residual witness or even small seal leak, this drained the entire oil reservoir all over the shelf. I reached out to Jonsered to see about warranty. They referred me to several local dealers to have it repaired. This is where the problem really started. They are now sold at Menards, which doesn't have service. None of the other local dealers either sold them anymore, or they don't have a service department. The customer service line for Jonsered's solution to this was to suggest that I take the saw apart and they could SELL me the part if I could provide them a part number of what was wrong. Yep, you heard that right. The warranty is that you fix it at your own cost???Before the oil leak problem, the saw started well and cut fine. It was a little under powered, but not bad by any stretch. It was about what I expected for a homeowner saw. I was happy with my purchase until the leak. I may just put the saw in a pan and let it leak between uses...

Professional performance in a Farm grade saw.
The Saw came with a 20” bar/chain -vs- 18” as advertised. The saw itself is very good. Enough power to mow through hard woods without bogging down. I did upgrade the chain to a heavy duty one. The cost was a little more than at Menard’s but, I got the 4 year extended warranty for less on-line so I guess it’s a wash.

Puts the Husqvarna 450e to shame.
I own 2 of these as well as a Husqvarna 450e, which is the equivalent, seeing as Husqvarna owns Jonsered. These things RIP through wood better than the 450e. I fell trees for a living and I'd rather use my Jonsered over my 450e for dropping the tree anyday. Easy to start even after a couple hours of continuous use.

Dependable and powerful.
Great saw for cutting firewood, I have a Husqvarna 460 rancher and the Jonsered 2250 is a way better saw hands down.Never did like the Husqvarna, it was my first and last.
