BlueDriver Automotive Multimeter (Auto Ranging)

Received mine today but unfortunately, the item was not as desdisappear started in the description listing. I've received another make of the multimeter where the listing states its BLUE DRIVER.I am disappointed as I had to wait a long time to get the item and it's not as described.I'm so annoyed from that experience here will not recommend and make sure you check the listing before you as this such a waste of my precious time🙁

Pretty solid multimeter for the price. Strong backlight, loud continuity beep, large screen, so many functions, I haven't used all for them yet. Nice to have true RMS, this multimeter compared to Fluke meters. Nice access to the fuses inside when the back battery panel is off. Also, two screws holding the battery cover, finger tight only, no need for a screw driver to torque these little ones. The top screw is too close to the magnet and kept jumping out of the screw hole while putting it back together but how often do you replace the fuses and battery? This thing is incredibly functional. Also, some of you may have noticed, a typo in the resistance range. It measures well below 600Ω. I talked to BlueDriver before buying this and they said it's a typo, it's just specifying a percentage error between those values.

Haven’t had the opportunity to try/test meterIt arrived with small defect in that stand was improperly assembled not allowing it to retract and there was a missing back cover screw... both small items but should have been caught before sending out to customer... Inspite of the small manufacturing flaws, it’s a great looking the unit has a lot of great functions including a handy temp sensor.. as a satisfied owner of a Bluedriver scanner, I’m confident this will also meet expectations!

Bought primarily to measure RPM and dwell in my classic cars. Beware that the multimeter cannot be set to a specific number of cylinder for RPM measurements. The user has to do the math in order to get the correct RPM readings. This shortcoming was confirmed by contacting the manufacturer. For example, if you have 6 or 8 cylinder engine, you will have to figure out how to multiply or divide the RPM readings to give the actual rev/min of your engine. Not exactly "Auto Ranging" as claimed!Also, the included user manual is very cryptic and does not elaborate on how to connect the meter to the engine. It is up to the user to find that out, or contact the manufacturer for every type of vehicle you plan on testing.Other functions seem to work O.K. But, then if it is unable to accurately measure RPM, then it becomes like any other multimeter. Nothing special about it. Returned it back to Amazon after a few days!

It works as advertised. But, the construction is really cheap. Im not sure it will hold up well in a garage wnvironment over time. The plastic construction is rough with. unfinished corners. It doesnt provide much confidence. I would not recommend this product

I bought this meter about 18 months ago for automotive work on our home 'fleet'. BlueDriver multimeter performed reasonably well and the stand/magnet was very helpful. I only recently thought to verify the NCV [Non Contact Voltage] function, it works INTERMITTENTLY which in my mind is worse than not at all. I am off to find a replacement meter as the warranty is over.

Works great,more functions than my 300$ Fluke meter. The manual is minimal,as in it doesn't even tell you how to install the battery,Pro tip: you have to remove the back,JUST the top and bottom screws.

For this much money? Its awesome.So far the light sensing backlight is awesome, the stand and magnet work great, and the gator clips have come in very handy

This device makes it easy to troubleshoot any electrical issues.Would recommend it with my eyes closed.

If your testing amps you will probably blow a fuse. The fuses in this are 20 Amp 500 v 1 1/4 by 1/4 inch. Good luck getting that . I looked and it was $32.00 on Amazon. Ok, found the one fuse, but the second is a 800ma 500v fast actting. No luck finding that. Seemed like a good product but I blew the fuse first thing checking for parasitic draw. Now I will go back to my Klein after I get fuses for that one.Company needs to sell or at least tell you where you can get these fuses. Non Standard.

OK first off you can’t beat the price for all the features this tool comes with! So my package was delivered today I was pretty excited to open it up and test out my new tool everything with points moved up until I tried to connect the positive test lead to the meter to find that it would not go in all the way I didn’t try to force it turned around and looked inside of the test lead and noticed that the plastic plug-in that goes to the meter on the metal probe the plastic casing is still halfway on obviously defective and somehow sneaked by the whole quality control department of blue driver I’m not that upset because it is a good tool for the price but just for future customers if it doesn’t plug-in smooth do not force it. Have a good day

I got this last night. I bought this specifically to check dwell and RPMs on a 1970 VW with points ignition. It read dwell ok but would not read RPM correctly. These old VW's idle at about 900 rpm. I had it on the RPM scale for 4 cycle. It read OL at idle. Chatted on line with Blue Driver tech support. said I had to put it on x10 RPM scale and divide by four? So I put it on the x10 scale and it read about 3500-3600 so about 900 rpm when divided by four. Seriously? It can't read 900 rpm directly? Then I rev it up to check timing at 3600, meter reads OL again. Tech says that means it is over limit?? How can a 60 hp VW be over limit on a meter that is supposed to read to 10,000 rpms??? Already sent it back after spending over an hour with their tech support, don't have time for this nonsense.

I decided to buy this multimeter because of past experience I had with BlueDriver scanners. I am very pleased with all aspects of my purchase. From the transaction itself to the presentation, price and features of the product. Will recommend this multimeter with confidence to all my contacts, both DIYers and professionals ‼️
