This distance measuring parking assistant works well displaying the space between its twin sensors and the front of the vehicle being driven into/out of the garage space. As soon as the vehicle enters the space it begins counting down the inches remaining between the vehicle and the sensors beginning at roughly 99 inches. So you can choose the amount of space to leave between the vehicle and the sensors. For instance, when not expecting to need trunk access I will park with additional space at the front of the vehicle (about 40 inches in my case), but when I want to retrieve groceries, etc., from the trunk with the garage door closed down I reduce the space in front to allow additional space at the rear.This garage parking assistant device is designed to be mounted on the wall in front of your garage parking space. But since I have some frequently shifted "stuff" (mower, over wintering plants, rolling storage cabinet, etc.) temporarily stored right there between the wall and my vehicle, I threw together a temporary/movable floor stand to mount the twin sensors and the digital display. Everything still works the same; I am just able to occasionally move my floor stand with these units attached out of the way and then put them back whenever I need to do so.The display normally shows 2 digits although it occasionally shows 3 (over 100 inches) so its sensors have a considerable range. The display is bright and easy to read. Once it is installed nothing more needs to be done. It just does its job every time. It does not need batteries or charging since it is a standard wall plug-in type of device - so the only time it won't work is in the event of a power failure. There is nothing to get in the way of other activities in the garage (like tennis balls hanging down or devices fixed to the floor). This is a great little device and much better than trying to spot a little fixed laser dot on my hood/dash like I was using previously. Even my wife finds this to be a better method for knowing exactly where to park than other methods.

I got it today, to put in my refurbished garage, It's better than I had hoped for appearance. The ease of installation is incredible. Thankful for AC power cord, so I don't have to worry with batteries. I may design a little plaque to cover the lead wires that are at a 45 degree position from sensors to readout, just to make it look as seamless as the shelving I built above it. From here on is an 8 month review of the device.. Worthless! We had a cold snap here in Texas, temp was getting intp the teens, ut my garage was staying above 50 degrees. First, the logo started scrolling across the screen, so I unplugged it for a minute and plugged it back in. Then the distance started reading several different numbers even though the car wasn't moving and I wasn't walking in front of it. So I unplugged it for 3 hours and tried again. Seemed to work till I backed out and distance remained at 30 till I returned 3 hours later and it was still at 30 and did not change as I drove in. Doen't seem to be any way to contact seller and the self help guide has nothing to do with my device. I like the concept, so I'll try to find another brand

Unfortunately for me the unit I received would not sense the front bumper of our 2016 Toyota Avalon. Amazon made it right and authorized the return.

My biggest complaint is the length of the cords on the sensors is too short. I'm not sure why they are so short, but I suspect its the vendor controlling the overall cost of the product with copper wire being so expensive. In my case, I had to mount the display further away, but this was not a problem since I was able to cut the wire and extend it. I needed the display up at face height and the sensors mount on a platform for my stairs into the house which is the obstacle I purchased this product to work around.ADVANCED USERS: This device is nothing more than an arduino under the hood with 2 ultrasonic sensors. For now I'll use it as-is but I may fire up the IDE and re-write the code a bit to flash the screen at my "set point" where my wife's car is all the way in the garage. Out of the box it has some automatic screen wake and sleep but once you know what your magic number of inches before hitting the front wall, you may want to customize it. (This would require you to write your own code from scratch, but its really not that complex) Please note this WILL void the warranty so do at your own risk. Again, this is not a dig at the product, but instead a huge plus in my mind. I love the plastic housing and display and would not want to have to fabricate that myself for something home-built.

So tired of getting out of my car just to see how close to the wall I am. This is a game changer. Plugs into wall. Both sensors connected by wires. The sticky tape to attach to the wall works for about 10 hours.Using MacGyver skills, take a utility knife/razor blade and the components easily separate. Find 3 screws and just drill through each base plate to attach to wall. Everything snaps easily back into place.I tried the floor speed bumps first which work until they get wet.This product is definitely worth every penny.
