Works exceptionally well for my application
I purchased both steel and aluminum rivnuts. They arrived quicker than advertised. I believe the quantity represents a good value for the price. The rivnuts arrived in excellent condition. It's important to have the right tools to install rivnuts. Fortunately, the right tools are inexpensive and easy to use. I bought these to install on older bicycles that I rehab to put additional water bottle cages on. If you are looking to do this yourself, I'd highly recommend the RJ the Bike Guy channel on YouTube. I receive no compensation from RJ the Bike Guy, YouTube or Amazon; it's just a clear, step by step tutorial. I am quite pleased with the results of the rivnut projects I've done so far.

They work
I installed these on the bottom of my car to mount a skid plate. I was going to use the nut and washer method to install these - nope that's not gonna work. Material is way to stiff for that. A quick trip to HF to get their installer tool and I was on my way. Even with the tool, these are pretty hard to install.

Best quality
Worked perfect. M8’s seem like the most common size. Worked perfect.

Buy a riv-nut gun first!
These have every appearance of being great, shipping was quick, no problem. However, at least for the M5 version, DO NOT think that you can install these using a screw and a trick you learned on YouTube instead of using the proper tool. You are going to definitely need a proper riv-nut tool. I stripped a hex head, and then twisted off two M5 screws trying to collapse one of these into a bike frame for a water bottle mount, and the riv-nut did not even begin to collapse. I greased the threads, but could not get enough torque on a nut and screw to work this thing. That probably indicates a nice firm grip once it collapses, but now I've got holes in my bike frame and gonna have to go get a proper tool to finish the job.

Buy the install tool
Great product and in some applications the only thing that will work. I recommend getting the install tool. I tried to cheap out and while the the nut and bolt method did work it wasn't the best. I also did not have the space to get the tool in so I was forced to use the nut and bolt method see YouTube for riv nut install without tool.
