Excellent Power Conditioner! Worth the Cost!
I bought this power conditioner as a part of a larger project to replace/upgrade aging equipment. In this case, I replaced a couple of 35-year-old Adcom ACE-515s that were excellent middle of the road power conditioners in their day.I've found over the years that it's easy to talk yourself into seeing or hearing something that may not in fact be there when you have a new piece of equipment. But here's my report after less than a day of use. BTW, my preamp is an NAD C160, and my power amp is an NAD C-165BEE. Regarding audio, I mostly listen to classical music.I use a Roku Ultra to feed a Sony Bravia 8 TV and I also have a recent Sony Blu-ray player. I definitely see an improvement in video clarity and smoothness. I think I also see something I'm not sure how to describe, and that is more consistency and coherence in the rendition of the color palette of scenes. With regard to audio, I mostly listen to classical music with Youtube and Spotify through the Roku, and a CD player. I also definitely hear an improvement in clarity and in the precision of the soundstage, with all video sources, with audio through the Roku, and with my CD transport (Audiolab 6000CDT) and DAC (Musical Fidelity MX-DAC). It's early days yet, but I think I perceive an enlargement of the soundstage too, in all sources.Lastly, people always mention how their new power conditioner quiets or silences the "background" This certainly proved true for me. I immediately noticed that a small 60 cycle hum that had crept into my system over the years had totally vanished. I also didn't realize that there was indeed other subtle electrical noise that is now gone too, rendering a silent background out of which the reproduced sound emerges vividly.I wish that the eye-of-Sauron power indicator could be dimmed, but alas ... I will resort to tape, as many others have. For the price, it is hard to imagine a better power conditioner. The build is excellent, with a well laid-out back panel that has a dozen electric plugs. While the power conditioner's effects may be somewhat subtle at first, they are real and yield more pleasing and satisfying video and audio. Recommended!

Very pleasantly surprised
I usually hesitate to write reviews immediately after receiving something electronic as the key factor is how something performs and lasts over time. And as I just received received the Furman-15 PF a few days ago, indeed something could go wrong down later. But I am really so surprised at the difference it has made in my audio and video quality - I felt compelled to write something perhaps prematurely. The unit itself is a hefty piece of equipment - all metal casing. Exterior parts appear very solid and well made. In terms of controls there is not much more than an on and off switch and a blue light to indicate power is on. Furman recommends that the user just leave the unit on - as the power draw is small. Plugs in back are labelled for specific uses - such as audio, video, amps etc. They also labeled "switched vs. unswitched." I found this confusing - as I generally think of an unswitched outlet as being "on" regardless of the unit being on or not (such as the outlets that used to be common on receivers.) In fact, none of the outlets have current if unit is "off." The switched or unswitched indicates which ones could be used with a remote or not. In any event, I have decided to leave the Furman "on" as they recommend - so the issue is really moot. Outlets on the back are easy to access, and pretty well spaced - although if you have more than a couple of "wall warts" you might lose the use of an outlet or two.For my audio equipment - I was really not expecting too much based on the mixed reviews of other about the effect on audio. On my system, however, the difference was immediately noticeable and positive. As others have said, the background is now dead quiet. I listen to classical music mostly and on solo piano - there is sharpness and clarity at the highest and lowest ends of the scale that were just not there before. This is true of both CDs and LPs. I have two systems running on it - one is mostly tube/analog, the other is all digital. My equipment is pretty middle of the road - a Jolida 502 tube amp, NAD C320 Bee amp, Rega & Bellari phono amps, Sota Moonbeam turntable, Grado Sonata cartridge, Oppo CD/DVD player, vintage Klipsch Heresy and Dynaco A-25 speakers. They have always sounded good - but once connected into the Furman, it was like all of my equipment had a major tune up - and were now running perfectly for the first time.On the video, my experience similar to what others have said. Blacks have become much deeper, which gives everything a much sharper contrast and detailed look. For the first time - the FIOS TV looked as clear as broadcast digital or DVDs. DVDs are also sharper too - although the improvement compared to the change in FIOS was much smaller. Will others notice such a big difference? It seems to me that results might differ. In my case, I live in an older home with equally old wiring, and many potential noisy devices on the same circuit as my audio equipment, including dimmers, 'fridge, etc. There is not much I can do about that short of doing a lot of house rewiring. This might not be the case in a newer home or where circuits are dedicated to the audio-visual equipment (Radio and phonographs were the only a-v equipment when my home was built!) So in my house, the Furman helped filter out this noise. As for protection against surges, voltage drops, etc. - time will tell how that works. In the few days I have had the unit, it is really impossible to judge the Furman's effectiveness on this. At this point, however, I could not be happier and I'm still pleasantly surprised at the improved audio and video performance.

Worth it!
Call me crazy but there is a difference in sound. More cleaner richer and dynamic range is improved. The buzz from my Samsung frame box eliminated. Great product overall with protection. The led lights are a great bonus illuminates the rack and floor. The lights are elegant not cheap looking. Haven't watches much tv but may say the blacks are blacker.
