Update 10/2/2022Well, it's been installed an in use for less than 18 months and the exhaust fan switch is broken AND the fan itself is failing. For the $$$, this is garbage, which is to be expected considering where it was manufactured. Looking at spending a lot more money to have this klunker removed and something from a reputable company installed.I like that it has manual switches - electronic switches, heat, and moisture are not friends.I like the design, I get comments that it looks good at first, then people notice all the dents (which is how it came). It sat in a box for 6 months in my living room so I really couldn't return it and I never received a message back after I complained about the damage.Anyway, long/short, I would not buy it again. I paid over $500.00 for the fan, the extension chimney (we have 11' ceilings), and the "conversion" filters - which we ended up not using.We had it professionally installed and had it ducted outdoors - probably a good thing because even on high, the fan isn't the most powerful, but it does an adequate job. It's very noisy, though. Oh, and watch out for falling filters! I have duct tape holding them in so they don't fall on my GLASS cooktop again.The lights are my biggest complaint. They are WIMPY. And trying to find a replacement... not going well. I'd like to swap out the four under-powered LEDs with something that really lights up my range. 3 year warranty, but the company is Chinese, so... no idea how well that will work.Oh, and like other people, ours arrived damaged, several large dents.Update 12/7/2022Ran across my warranty page and decided, what the heck??? I'm giving the manufacturer an opportunity to provide SOME positive service. I'm asking them to send me a replacement switch and fan/motor assembly - we'll do the installation... I can't afford to spend thousands more to have this entire hood replaced.

Not made for 8 foot ceiling if you want max 36 inch height from the stove surface.Fortunately, I have the cutting disc and tools that were required to modify the shroud length. The shroud should be 19 inches and not 22 to accommodate an 8 foot ceiling with desired max 36" clearance height. I'm a tall guy and need the headroom. (I only used the top section of the 2 piece shroud to make it the 36" height). I highly doubt anyone would use this for a 10 foot ceiling.After all the extra work (rather than returning it) I am very satisfied with the look and operation.Be advised, you need to run an extension cord into the ceiling to a regular wall outlet. I fortunately have an outlet in one of my cabinets. So I was able to make a hole in my ceiling next to the crown molding and notch the molding to disguise the cord. I just used caulking to blend in around the cord and used cord wall-trim to make it look professional.

The media could not be loaded.  It looks perfect but my husband had to do some adjustments for our 8 foot ceiling also the adapting vents have little hooks that help it stay on the hood but they would constantly fall off so my husband also had to add some small metels pieces to extend to the hood in order to stay on

The product itself is ok, a little too thin stainless panels, but overall ok. I was hesitant to order this because of claims that other people got the item damaged, showing the bottom hood panel creased in a picture. Mine was received with the same damage. I believe the problem is that the manufacturer did not design the shipping carton correctly to prevent the unit from crushing itself if dropped. I needed to install it asap and so did not hassle trying to get it replaced. needless to say I am disapointed.

I couldn't go with a wall mount unit due to a window where we wanted our stove, but this model worked great for what I needed. Install was pretty straightforward and the unit seems to function as it should. Our kitchen is being completely remodeled and this added a nice touch. We had a pretty cheap under counter unit prior to this, so it is obviously a huge upgrade, but the sound level and suction seem to be good.

Really like this fan but more importantly I am so impressed with the customer service - fan arrived damaged and they were sooo responsive! Had a replacement within 2 days

Give a 5 star for the looks. I ended gutting the whole unit, cut out the 6” fitting for 8” vent collar, and placing a 720 CFM booster fan in the attic.Very time consuming with all the extra mods and aluminum taping of the unit.Customer service was superb and final install tingles my chocolate starfysh.

This island range hood is so pretty...unfortunately, it doesn't work. It was professionally installed and double-checked so, I feel it is an issue with the manufacturer. Upon turning the unit on, you can hold a piece of paper on the fan and it suctions it. The odd thing is that when I cook and turn the unit on, it forces the steamy air outward toward the edges of the range and into the house. We are very disappointed and will not be referring this unit to anyone.
