The Great Escape: The laugh-out-loud romantic comedy

A very funny , easy to read book. I love all her books. I usually can’t stop reading when I start a new one.

Three friends plan a holiday before the wedding of Hannah and each one does a bit of soul searching,Lou as to her stifling existence with Spike , Sadie with her infant twins and strained relationship with husband Barney,and Hannah worried about being a stepmom to two children who appear to resent her.

I really enjoyed this book. It was humor around totally believable characters and somewhat ideal situations. While there was a predictability to it, the wonderful characters and their relate-ability made it an entertaining and fun read. I'd recommend it to my friends without hesitation.

Just enough background to fill us in on their paths to the " hen party". Enjoyed the advent of the man they met on the train and the reaction of the various partners. Would be I interested in finding out how things resolved themselves - particularly for Lou. There is nothing like a gossipy, girls weekend with your best friends and ms. Gibson

This was the last in a series of Fiona Gibson books that I have read. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of her wonderful stories....I can relate to many of the questions presented by the characters in the book and how their journey provides them with better clarity.....she's an awesome story teller.....I can't wait for her next book!!!!

I rated this book because I loved the interaction of the three women. Reminded me of my friends. If you're looking for a good fun read, this is it!

I think the novel it's a little boring, to much description and maybe too much information in the stories of these three ladies

i love a good chick nit book and this one definitely makes its mark a good story with loads of story threads going through it, opts all chaos to begin with but everything gets resolved for a happy ending. i enjoyed it so. much i’ve downloaded another five to read and i’m hughely looking forward to starting them. please read for a good story and a cheerful book.

Really enjoyed this book. Great storyline and enchanting characters. Was very happy that the story wasn't predictable. I thought it would go one way and thankfully it didn't. Will definitely read more from this author.

When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure if I would like it and put in down. Having read all of the other books on my Kindle, I decided to give The Great Escape another go - and I'm pleased that I did. As I started to get into the book it was hard to put down. Based on the lives of three friends who initially met at university and have stayed friends, the story flits from each of the three womens' lives to another and back again. This makes you want to carry on reading so that you can get back to each persons continuing story. The three main characters are very well described by the author as are those of their partners, and the book is well written and easy to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading another by this author soon.

Put it down after the first few pages....picked it up again couple days later and forced myself to read the rest of the chapter, struggled through the 2nd chapter to the point the book got recycled, and i had no wish to read anymore of it. Shame as it looked like a good summer read. Maybe it picked up later in the book, but it just wasn't for me.

I love reading Fiona Gibson's book and as this was the last one I had left to read I was putting off reading it as I wanted to prolong the time before I caved in and read, I wasn't disappointed I loved how it flicked between three different characters so we weren't just seeing one person's life.
