A necessary ingredient to make gingerbread (cake)
I am originally from the UK and one of the cakes I remember enjoying as a child was gingerbread, made by my grandmother. I thought of it recently and decided to try baking my own. One of the ingredients is dark treacle, though I believe molasses can be used as a substitute. But I am following a British recipe for gingerbread and I wanted to make it as authentic as possible.

So others get a better product
Only two months left until expiration date. That is not acceptable. Sad when you pay that much for molasses that expiration date is less than two months away and the first time we plan to use it is in a week. How do I specify that I would like a suitable expiration date?

Fun addition to tea party
Bought for an Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book discussion tea party for daughter’s high school project. Most kids had never seen or knew treacle was real. Fun addition to tea party.

Lovr this-and love the can!!
This tastes like some Supreme Molasses-and the can is awesome!!The lion and the bees, and the caption depicted on the can refers to Samsom in the 14th chapter of the Book of Judges. Samson slew a lion, (with his bare hands), and later returned to it and found a beehive in the carcass, full of honey. He then proposed a riddle to the wedding guests, which the caption partially states:Judges 14:14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
