This Christmas themed musical ornament is made out of wood and is 3-D.It is built up in layers from sheets of wooden parts.I got this thinking it would be a lovely Christmas project for me and my daughter to do, But I'll be honest once I open the box up and saw the hundreds of parts I chickened out!Instead her and her boyfriend are doing it, They've made a start on it and said all the parts are easy to remove from the sheets, They are easily identifiable and they go together well. The instructions look complicated but are easy to follow.This is a precision made item, Everything seems really good quality and we can't wait to see it finished.There is a wind up musical box which will be attached to the display, You will wind it up from outside the box. It also has some lights which will be fitted towards the end.As well as all the wooden parts, The music box and the lights you also get some glue, Sandpaper and a USB cable to attach to the lights.This is going to look fantastic once it's built, I think to storage I will keep the box that it comes in and use it with some bubble wrap As it does seem quite delicate.This would make a great Christmas present for someone who loves Xmas decor and making things.

Sicshtop DIY Miniature House Kit, is a do it yourself crafting project and this one in particular is the Japanese Grocery Store. it includes all the equipment needed to build, glue etc.The quality of the material is very nice, with the majority of pieces made with wood. There is numbers on each bag, help keep things organised and not immediately overwhelm the user/crafter.The presentation of the outer box is not great to be honest, there house photo looks small and what is with the cheap pink looking cardboard box? Its ironic that this is crafting kit, in my opinion which is art, the materials used for the Grocery store is so nice yet the presentation box that contains it in is so generic and poor. It so important to have a good looking box for products like this (it adds a lot to the appeal). It's just when you pick it up you wouldn't go wow, which is a shame.Final thoughts: I have to be honest, I have yet to start crafting this, due to the lack of time. It does looks like something that is interesting and the material used, like the wood, they have smooth edges and feels solid. This is by no means going to be easy and definitely for the more patient and skilled crafters. It will take time, but after completion, I am sure it will be very rewarding. If the box was nicer, would have been 5 stars. Recommended.

As a Vine Customer I’ve had the good fortune to try a number of this kind of model kit and I’d say that this is one of the trickier, more fiddly sets involving more steps than some others. It’s more hard work but ultimately the more work you put in the more satisfying the end result. This set I will say is definitely not for children.Arrives in many pieces separated into labelled bags. Included are large wooden boards, smaller laser cut board, sheets of thick acrylic, thinner flexible acrylic, sheets of printed paper, beads, bendy wire, fake foliage, light and battery pack and to help put it all together we are also provided with a pair of tweezers and two types of glue, white latex for adhering soft materials like paper and wood and alcoholic glue for adhering hard materials. Both the glue containers are plain white I can’t tell the difference, I suppose smelling will give it away. I’m allergic to latex so don’t think I will be able to put this set together myself unless I swap out the latex glue for an alternative.The instructions booklet is in colour and lays out the various steps. Comes in a nice large box which will help in the storage of various elements during the building process.

This is quite a complicated kit from SICSHTOP, and one I would suggest is only suitable for adults.The instructions are reasonably good but you are going to need a lot of time and patience. Ideally you will also need a craft knife.It is on a whole new difficulty level to other kits such as the various nook kits that are quite popular. The supplied tweezers are going to be getting a lot of use. You need 2xAAA batteries and the product listing is clear on that point.Unfortunately, one of the first stages is to wrap together the wires to the battery box and, guess what, no tape is provided. A frustrating start to what is a quite complex and frustrating kit.

The set comes in several labelled zip-locked bags, with all the stickers, glue, LED light (batteries not included, you will need two AAA batteries), and the wall panels.The surprise in this set was the pair of tweezers, which will help when handling the small pieces. It is a rather difficult set to build, requires a lot of patience, and the instruction manual is not very helpful. I just started but I am struggling with it, but I like it.Overall I am happy with the DIY set, I feel it is fairly priced and I would recommend it.

I can understand the price of £29.99 there are so many pieces and elements to this. As others have said this definitely wouldn’t be for children it is very intricate and the process is laborious but I think it is a lovely hobby for those who can. It helps you to slow down and focus on the process of creating.
