5M Long Switched Extension Lead 2 Gang Portable Outdoor Power Strips White+Gray

I purchased two TISDLIP individually switched extension leads, the 6 gang with a 2.0M cable and the 2 gang with a 5.0M cable. My main reason for purchasing these was the fact that as well as having individual switches, both were surge protected and advertised as having a maximum rating of 3250W.Following receipt, I connected the 2 gang extension to a wall socket and then plugged 2000W electric fire into the extension. When I turned it on at the switch on the extension lead, it gave a bright blue electrical flash. Unsure if my appliance was possibly faulty, I unplugged it and then tried using another electric fire of the same 2000W rating and again there was a bright blue flash at the switch. I then unplugged this and plugged in a vacuum cleaner and had the same result. I then tried plugging each of these items (separately) into the 6 gang extension lead and again each time a bright blue flash occurred when switching it on. I then tried plugging in lower rated items (laptop charger and phone charger) to each extension but I didn’t get any flash when operating the switches.Being very concerned over the possible safety risk of these two products I contacted the seller via the Amazon message Centre. I had a very quick response from the seller who advised “..it is a case one in a million..”. The seller told me to stop using the extensions and offered replacement extensions or a refund. Having lost confidence in these products due to the fact that two different designs of the TISDLIP extension both gave blue flashes when being operated with appliances well within the advertised 3250W maximum load rating, I opted to return these items to Amazon and was given a credit on my Amazon account.

Worked well to start off with, but developed a burning smell and with a pop one of the switches refused to turn off. Safe to.say this is not usable anymore.

Literally the only single switched extension I could fine so I chanced a brand I have never heard of but I'm pleased with the item, it's good quality, nice thick cable, switch does glow orange when on which isn't a problem for me, moulded plug which was a pain as I wanted to shorten it but I won't fault it for that as pretty much everything has a moulded one these days.

Nice white extention lead and very well made with rocker switches let’s you at a glance which one is on price wise excellent as with supplier and delivery

It's a few pounds more than you will pay elsewhere, but it is worth it. Prompt service too.

Everything as described from supplier is correct. I am very pleased I purchased.Thank you.

Exactly what I wanted which was available in any local electrical store.
