Banila Co was known for their cleansing balm since it came out in 2006 and they're still staples on the market. Although there is much more competition, they still remain a popular choice and I can see why! I've used a lot of the popular newer brands of cleansing oils but I have very clog-prone and sensitive skin so I'm pretty picky with my skincare and haven't found many first cleanse products that are suitable with my skin type. I saw that Banila Co. has come out with many versions of their original cleansing balm so I was curious to try them. I haven't used Banila Co. since the 2010s.I bought their tea-tree pore cleansing edition and was very impressed. Usually korean cleansing oils are more heavily fragranced but this does not have a scent. It's buttery smooth and easy to spread. It cleanses off all my makeup but I have to say I do still use the heroine make mascara cleansing brush as this doesn't take off all my mascara but most oil cleansers I've used don't always get all of it. After it washes off your skin will feel like a baby's bottom. I was surprised, my skin didn't feel the least bit heavy nor stripped. Even though this is the pore cleansing edition my skin was still left very soft and supple. I would say even if you have sensitive skin, your skin won't be irritated and your pores will be left clean! The blackheads on my nose have gotten slightly smaller and makeup layers much better. I was able to purchase this one on sale and would probably wait for it to be on sale again to purchase. I've noticed korean cleanser tend to be much more expensive than japanese ones but when the cleansing balm is on sale, I'd say there's decent competition there. In terms of korean skincare I would say this one is currently my favorite cleansing oil.

This cleansing balm melts away makeup effortlessly, especially the waterproof mascara and long-wear foundation. The texture is silky and turns into a gentle oil as you massage it in, then rinses clean without leaving any residue. It has a light, fresh scent that’s not overpowering and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin. My face feels soft, clean, and never stripped after using it. A little goes a long way, so the tub lasts quite a while. One of the best first-step cleansers I’ve tried!

This cleansing balm is a favorite for a reason. It has a soft, sorbet-like texture melts into an oil on contact with skin, but it doesn’t feel too heavy like oil cleansers which can sometimes clog ur pores more if not used correctly. This product effortlessly breaks down makeup/ waterproof products. It rinses off easily with water, but I’d swipe off with a cotton pad or soft facial towel, to make sure any leftover makeup is fully removed. It doesn’t leaves your skin feeling dry or stripped, just clean and comfortable.The buttery formula feels great to use, it contains ingredients like Vitamin E and Acerola extract that adds a nourishing boost. Definitely worth the price & a solid pick for beginners and skincare lovers alike!

This is my absolute favorite cleanser! As I have aged my skin has become drier and more sensitive. This balm does an excellent job of removing makeup while making your skin feel pampered and soothed. I have been using for about a month and my skin looks and feels wonderful. It takes very little product to cleanse and feel great. It is a wonderful value and the scent is fresh and clean. I will be ordering more, maybe even try some of the other fragrances. Buy this! You will not be disappointed!

Very light and creamy. Gently melts off all of my make up and leaves my skin clean and soft. Great product. My favorite makeup remover.

Definitely is effective at taking off makeup, oil, and cleansing the skin! Didn’t feel excessively stripping and left my skin feeling moisturized. Also a great size that will last you a long time. I personally had to give it to a friend as for some reason it made my rosacea flare up, but that happens with most oil cleansers for me! I had just wanted to give it a shot. Still, if you don’t have unpredictable skin/autoimmune rosacea, I think you should try it!

This makeup cleansing balm is absolutely wonderful! It is not only very effective at taking all of your makeup off, including your mascara, but it leaves your skin incredibly soft. There was absolutely no irritation at all. This is truly the first time I have found a cleansing balm/oil that will remove all makeup - none of the others have ever taken off all of the mascara like this one. I will buy this one for life!

My most favorite makeup remover! I double cleanse when I wash my face & this is by far, my most favorite makeup remover that I’ve ever used! It comes in several sizes, however, I purchase the Jumbo size because it always lasts me the longest. It cleans and works well and always leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I will always have this on repeat purchase!
